Hey, I have a question. I did not know that I could file the petition with my married name. I would like to have my husband's last name as my married name. is there anything I can do now before the interview? like can I ask the interview officer to use my married name on my visa?

On CEAC website, 2 updates: yesterday and today. It looks like they are getting familiar with our case. Praying for quick approval. 3 days 18 hours 20 minutes to go. Anxiety is setting in! :unsure::wacko:

hey all my wife interview was this morning at 8:30 am and she got approval,i was there with her they ask her about six question & me three also ask for the 2015 tax form 1040 & W-2 told us to pick up the visa on the 3rd may and I ask if we could get it at a early day and the co lady say yes come on the 28th of april at 2pm to pick up the visa I post a review at my wife country porta later ,so thank everyone for all infro on our journey especially Dwheel thank you & looking forward to your approval.

I'm not sure if the change can be made at the embassy. But if you want to change it at the NVC stage you have to send a copy of your passport containing the correct name to NVC. Your case is complete, but it's still at NVC waiting for an interview to be scheduled. So maybe you can call NVC and ask if it's too late to update the name since they still have the case.. Not sure how much additional work it would require on their end, or if they will need to reopen the case. But it may be helpful to call them and ask.

I believe you have to change your passport because the passport has to match the Visa and thus the green card coming.

Mannnnnnnn Thursday we going to party like it's 1999. Packing now for the 2 day stay in Lagos. Okay why is packing for 2 dang days so hard. Lord You'd think I'm going for a month. LOL :rolleyes:

Hey guys! I got one more question. I visited my husband once after I got NOA2. After I arrived the airport, the first custom officer let me through. However, when I was claiming my luggage, I was called to the custom office. They were reminding me not to stay in the states in an illegal way. I was asked when I planned to go home. I told them Jan. 20th. However, I changed my flight to February 7th because my husband was coming back home with me for Chinese New year. I checked my passport, and it stated on the stamp that I could stay until Feb. 10th under VWP (the first custom officer wrote that, but when I was called to the custom office, they didn't change the date on the stamp). I didn't seem to have any trouble going through custom when I was returning home.

Should i mention about this when I am at the interview? Or I'm good?

Mention what that you left before your visa expired. Nothing to mention. You are good.
