Anyway she can come in May alone to finalize wedding plans?

I mean we bought our tickets in December so in the extreme case she can come on her own I suppose. But that would make me lose the $1000 for the ticket and won't let me do my part on the planning (trying on my suit, getting my best man's suit, and all the other wedding planning we need to do)

I have plenty of ties down here. I don't have a single relative living in the States. I own a house, a car, I'll be finishing my Master's, I have a very good job and make good money down here, we have pets, etc, I have loans to pay for here, money on my accounts, etc. Hopefully even if they get weird on me in July, I have more than enough proof that I have all the intention to come back here

Ultimately it would up to the officer at the border, if you have evidence to prove you are still tied to your home country, logic say's you'd be fine. But, it would be the risk you take.

There are other threads on the matter, which have indicated in the past people have been able to enter the US with that sort of information provided when questioned. However, it's not a certainty. Ultimately, no entry to the US is certain even with ESTA.

Yes, but the problem will be convincing the CBP of that since, at that time, you'll also have a spouse who's a US citizen and will have filed for a visa which allows you to immigrate into the US both of which will undoubtedly be interpreted as immigrant intent--that you didn't have any such intent and that you've filed for a K1 essentially by mistake is a whole different matter and the problem will be convincing CBP of that. (I mean, I understand you, but I'm not the one you'll have to convince to enter the US for that second, and any subsequent, time.)

P.S. ESPECIALLY since the purpose of that second trip will be to conduct a wedding ceremony. I mean... I feel for you, but you'd have a lot working against you.

You can get fitted for a suit in about a week (Men's Warehouse). I've done it ... I actually got fitted in one state ... and picked it up in the state I was getting married in the day before the wedidng, no problems. So for the suit, you can still wait until July. Your best men don't need you there to get fitted. For wedding plans, it would be best to communicate via cellhpone, computer, Skype, or whatever when it comes to decisions. she could post pictures or videos for you can then you both can decide on things.

In reality, you really don;t need to be there if your future wife can hold things up on her end.

It's still the best option. Much less risk and sounds alot more workable than the alternative. She can still consult you from the US. Many brides do most of the wedding planning. Not the best option and I like that you want to be involved but there are serious circumstances and consequences here. Men's Warehouse and other suit/tux rental places do not need alot of advance planning. As someone else said you can get that taken care of in a week or so.

I read your other posts, it sounds like a mess. My opinion, opt for the surest route. Why set yourself up for possible disaster?? Will you lose some money...yes. But I've learned that seems to be the name of the game in this immigration process. Good Luck!

Plane ticket definitely not refundable? I only ask as I booked United a while back, and while I couldn't cancel, I could change the flight, or hold the credit against by name until I was able to rebook an alternative flight.

We are calling uscis tomorrow and see what they have to say.

I still wanna come in may because I haven't taken time off in a while so it was also my vacation. I mean I'll call the airline company and see what I can do with my ticket, but I also don't wanna waste a thousand bucks and 10 days off from work
