Hi everyone,

I just thought I would give you an update on our situation. As you might know I had my interview last week - my horrible, horrible interview. Monday I sent an e-mail to the embassy to find out if there was a refusal letter coming our way. Today this is what I got back:

"Dear Ms. Robinson,

The question of domicile was reviewed by the Consul as there are no problems with this. Likewise, the financial issue has also been resolved. The remaining item is the medical report. This will be sent to us by the panel physician, usually 11 days after your medical examination. On receipt of the report, provided it is clear, the visa can be issued.

Regards,

IV Unit (JS)"

So thank God the c/o address was accepted as US domicile. I also just had my medical exam today which came up all clear. So now I'm just waiting for my visa (it takes just over 1 week for them to send it after they receive the medical report). A big cloud just lifted from our heads but I won't completely relax before I have that much desired visa in my hands!

Dec 19, 2006 - Married at the city hall in Denmark

Jan 05, 2007 - Filed I-130 at the US embassy in Copenhagen (Approved)

Jan 30, 2007 - Received e-mail from embassy, I-130 has to be re-approved in London, we both need to file G-325A

Jan 31, 2007 - G-325A sent to US embassy in Copenhagen

Feb 15, 2007 - OP-169, DS 230 I & II, I-864 sent to US embassy in Copenhagen

Feb 27, 2007 - US embassy Copenhagen, I-130 re-approved and back

Mar 03, 2007 - Receive packet 4 - interview date April 12th

Mar 06, 2007 - Call from embassy - interview date is now on March 8th

Mar 08, 2007 - Interview at embassy - Visa approved IF medical report is all clear

Mar 14, 2007 - Medical exam

Apr 07, 2007 - Visa packet received

Apr 17, 2007 - POE Newark Intl. Airport

Apr 23, 2007 - USCIS refuse to change my mailing address

May 07, 2007 - Re-file for SSN

May 10, 2007 - USCIS receive visa packet from Newark

May 11, 2007 - Gets SSN

May 19, 2007 - Receive SS card

Jul 10, 2007 - Receive letter from TSC: greencard returned by post office - will re-send (duh!!!)

Sep 17, 2007 - Receive Welcome Letter

Feb 01, 2008 - Gets NC License - DMV will only issues it until Apr 17 08 (expiration date on entry visa in passport) since greencard not in hand

Mar 06, 2008 - After 10 months and some change GC FINALLY in hand!!

Apr 17 - Present: USCIS has managed to switch my case # with some else, send my greencard to the wrong address and had to make 3 - yes 3 - service requests on sending out my card

June 1/06 - Moved to CSC

August 12/06 APPROVED - NOA2!!

August 28/06 Left NVC. . . Vancouver Bound!

September 27/06 Interview APPROVED, with visa in hand

October 29/06 Moving Date

December 30/06 Married!!

AOS Journey:

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

ROC Journey:

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!

Great news. Congratualtions!!

I have a question - as you just did your medical exam - can you tell me what was involved/checked? What are the requirements? How long did it take? etc

I haven't had one requested and don't really know much about it or what they're checking for, any info would be helpful

11/01/2006 Called Montreal - said interview would be scheduled Jan/Feb

01/10/2007 Called Montreal - said interview would be scheduled in Feb

02/06/2007 Called Montreal - were told communication was coming

02/10/2007 Rec'd letter from Montreal re: Adam Walsh Act delays

03/13/2007 Rec'd letter from Montreal saying we're clear from Adam Walsh and back on track

03/15/2007 Rec'd email from Montreal saying interview would be scheduled in next 4-12 weeks

Unknown Finally had interview in Montreal - passed!

Unknown Got green card in the mail

unknown Applied for & rec'd SSN

08/20/2007 Moved to the USA

03/01/2009 Starting sending in my I-751 removal of green card conditions

Call from Paris Embassy confimation for my final interview in March 2007.

Final interview date: CR1-CR2 Aproved

Passports with visas came by chrono 5 days after interview.

:pop: After reading your previous post, this IS more than GREAT news I would say!! Glad to hear that they didn't mess it up and able to review it over afterwards!... You are right, we never know what can happen next, however, it's only a matter of time for you now after you submit your med exam. Best wishes!
