Like the topic says. I want to get an idea on how long it would take. Specifically for the US embassy in Manila. I plan on going to the interview with my fiance and i want to fly back with her if possible. Ive been looking online but the results are from 3 years ago.

Never make travel arrangements until the visa is physically in hand. People can estimate how long it will take, but you have no idea if you will be asked for more documents or if there will be AP.

I know things may go unexpected. Im just asking for an estimate so i can tell my boss how long ill be gone. I know for sure that i will be going there for her interview. I just want to know how long i should stay. Ive read that if everything goes smoothly it may take maybe 2 weeks tops? Im not entirely sure though

If you plan on having (choosing) a 2 Go delivery site near the embassy, ie, like the one at MOA, its about 7 days, after the interview. Try asking people ONLY who are from Philippines portal; do not have it delivered to a provincial address or to a home, its gonna take LONGER for sure. You will receive a text message when its available for pick up there. I'd recommend air b and b also for a place to stay in the area. I've found they are half the price of the area hotels, more amenities. I'll be making my third trip over soon.....

1-2 weeks is usual, we have seen it take one year. Your decision.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Yes as they state above, do the CFO ahead of time. You do not need the MNL to do that even; even though web site says so, make sure to have the rest of the documents in her hand to go there; then you just stop in their office for the stamp once you get the passport returned to you; NO appointment is necessary then.

What we found out from a friend who has completed the process is that the beneficiary attended the CFO before the interview and she went to get her stamp and they made her once again schedual an appointment after the interview. This was recent in the month of January

Of course, you can not get the stamp until AFTER the interview. Mine will be taking the class March 28; I"ll make sure she asks someone who is in charge there, if she can walk in to get the stamp, and POST it once she gets it done.

Where was your visa delivered to? a home address, or a 2 Go office branch?

House but that was only 2 days...you're able to track it. It went to "issued" and two days later got it at the house.

I got mine 7 days after my interview. It was delivered to our office in Makati where I worked. You should get an sms and email from 2Go before they deliver your visa.
