Does anyone else spend time crying over all this visa stuff? Sometimes I just feel like spending the day in my bed crying over the visa and how frustrating it can be. I mean planning a wedding is difficult enough, and then to have all this extra paperwork, planning and money to spend. Not to mention, trying to plan something around the world and not knowing when things will go through... ARGHHHH! :crying: I know it will be worth it when we are finally together in the US and I know it will just make us a stronger couple, but it's just so tough sometimes! Sorry, this is a little off topic I suppose, but I just want to know I'm not the only one out here crying! :crying:

Aww... I know how you feel :(

I mostly have mood swing and depression. I might get into the crying phase later on. But, try not to be alone. hang out more with your friends and have some good laughs or gossips.

No crying as of yet, but it is tempting. I can't even imagine trying to plan a wedding while going through the visa process. I think we're just going to head over to wherever you can get officially married, and then do the big wedding a year or so after he finally arrives.

Hang in there! *hugs*

It is the reason we decided to put our big wedding off until later and just go to the county building for the paperwork. Let's just get this done, and then do the rest later. Hang in there, they have made this process a lot faster, so hopefully this can all get done soon for you.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax. Stress is no good on your body. Crying about it is not going to make anything better.

Try meditation, prayer, herbal tea, whatever.

Stress definitely is not good for the body and we all need to try and relax as stated... though at times is easier said than done. While crying will not change things... it can be a healthy stress reliever, at least this is what I have found. Granted we all need to just remain hopeful and destress, which as stated can be anything from prayer to hanging with friends. Hang in there and you will come through this. God bless you on your journey!!!

Everyone is basically in the same boat of going thru this but different stages, maybe try not to bite off so much at one time. Do it one step at a time and be proud when you reach that point then look forward to the next. The whole big picture and the not knowing will get anyone down at some point. (F)

Not taken personally TimsDaisy, I wish I could share the Vermont love...but they won't let me.

oh yeah, I almost forgot....can you update your timeline with pertinent visa info dates? (this can be done in your signature and in the edit timeline function too)

If you put in your dates into the timeline function then the site can track better. I am also planning to get some Barbados information into the Embassy topic since no one has reviewed it as of yet.

ok, later

I find myself more depressed at times (like now reading the next stage of requirements). Or more often, outraged at the tedious details needed. Add in the distance and UGGHHHH.

What makes me feel better is being proactive and getting the information together.

Honestly, I have to say, I truly do not know how you are planning a wedding at the same time. Maybe you could postpone?

I couldn't do both. I think you will feel so much better once you get the packet sent!

Good wishes to you,

Christine
