Hi all,

I thought i would update everyone about what happening with myself and fiance (I think) in the US.

As I put in the last thread (Out of the Blue) she called it all off last Tuesday. I won't go into details, you can check the other thread if you are intrigued!!

Well I thought all was lost and had planned on cancelling my flight this week, but something happened on Sunday and Monday between us that has potentially changed everything back around. I am now going to see her on Friday for a week so we can talk through it all and see if we both still want this.

Love has a strange way of surprising you, sometimes in a good way and sometimes bad. But it's always unexpected....

Wish me luck everyone, this could be the restart of the rest of my life!!!

Good luck to you both. I hope everything works out between you. Relationships are hard, but what you go thru will either break you up or make you guys stronger as a couple. Hopefully it's the latter for you!

April 21 Dave arrives in America!

April 28 WE GET MARRIED!!!

May 9 Went to SS office and was denied

May 15 After gathering all paperwork, told we must file through DORA program

July 19 DORA appointment - they send paperwork to Chicago after this.

July 24 Paperwork is received by Chicago

August 9 Notice for Biometrics appointment

August 28 NOAs for AOS/EAD

Sept 6 Biometrics

Sept 26 Email saying card production ordered for EAD.. YES!!!

Oct 9 EAD card, Yay!!!!!

Dec 31 Finally got the Resident card! Yay!!!

I know people who meet and have no doubts and have perfect relationships and perfect children who go to perfect universities and who go on to perfect jobs and buy perfect houses and drive perfect sports cars

They make love the perfect number of times per... and its always perfect...

They all have one thing in common - they are self delusionists who try to delude me too...

Then they have a couple of beers and it all comes out - they made love once last year - on his birthday - and then he tries to hit it off with a 16 year old glass collector in the pub

So I know about perfect relationships...

We have a stormy unstable relationship but it goes on and on and we always get back together again and don't want anyone else

Takes all kinds to make a world so you stormies out there - at least you are living in the real world

and to you perfects - who do you think you are kidding anyway - I bet there is lots of unsaid unfulfillments underneath all that smoochy perfection and one day it will come out and bite you in one big bite rather than our little nibbles !

04/05/07: I called toll-free # here to set up appointment for my fiancé

05/10/07: Interview scheduled for 7:30AM... Visa Approved!!!!!!!!

05/14/07: Picks up passport/visa and brown sealed envelope

05/15/07: Paperwork for the carta blanca turned in

05/24/07: Carta Blanca received and bought plane ticket

06/04/07: Entry into the US... together again!!!!!!!

08/07/07: MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
