One side of Taiwan is rising, the other is sinking. So the measured sea levels are falling on one side and rising on the other.

This was noted to make a point that land mass is continuously moving, which changes the accuracy of measurement when estimating sea level based on moving shorelines.

Of course it changes the accuracy. That's why they didn't measure at one spot, they measured in multiple locations. You weren't commenting on the amount of inherent inaccuracy in the method, you were flat out calling them liars.

Well yes, I would concede that empirically the earth is getting warmer. But talking about Colorado is local. I like these warm winters actually, but we'll pay for it in July and August. At least down here, not so much up where you are, maybe?

What is happening here is we are getting a lot of melt in the afternoon and it freezes overnight. Ground is frozen so it is not draining. Mud season is normally May. Not February.

Sounds like your getting our usual February. I hate that ice sheet in the morning. We had it in January. With so many new residents to Colorado this year, I've never saw so many people with their car tires frozen to the ground.
