Martial Arts, anyone?

Well I'm bored on a Monday lunchtime so figured I'd throw this one out as well:

What Martial Arts have you taken/are taking at the moment/would like to take?

For me:

Did some Judo when I was about 7, for a few months, eventually gave it up as I was too busy with my music, and the instructors didn't seem to care much about the students advancement and progression.

Did some boxing as part of circuit training from 16-18, no actual sparring but plenty of bag and focus pad work, so at least I knew how to throw a decent punch!

Did a couple of lessons of Jujitsu and Wing Chun when I was 19, but found the former too grappling based, and the latter too striking based (although I did enjoy both of them)

Started Krav Maga when I went to college in late '03, absolutely loved it, did it on and off (due to travel and exams) till I graduated in '06, and have been self-teaching myself that ever since.

Occasionally do a Mixed Martial Arts class down at the local gym - half the lesson is stuff like boxing and Muay Thai, the other half submission grappling/Brazilian Jujitsu - although it's more sport orientated (for stuff like UFC etc), still good fun and have learnt some useful stuff from it.

I'd like to learnt some Silat for stick/knife work - if you've ever seen "The Hunted" then you'll know what I mean!

Finally, I've also spent a lot of time on the art of "Click click boom"....did some rifle&shotgun lessons in the UK, and was a coach for gallery rifles (e.g. Winchester lever action carbines) at the college shooting club. Have done some handgun lessons in the US, and look forward to carrying on with that once we make the move back.

BTW, my wife & I officially made our first 2nd ammendment purchase in November - one of these (in .40): http://www.cx4storm.com/ Very lightweight & accurate, and it's being looked after by my father-in-law whilst we're back in the UK (and I admit a big reason for that choice was because it was used on the new Battlestar Galactica! )

I did Karate for 2 years and Wing Chun for another 2 - but haven't really done too much since I moved out here.

Oddly enough I was looking at a few places the other week. There's a Thai boxing place not too far from where I work, and apparently a place that does Wing Chun (though I've not really looked into it). There's also (of all things) a Shaolin temple up around central park apparently.

Lets see 16 years in Okinawain Shorin Ryu And another five studying Aikido. Love Akido great martial art especially for those of us who are a little more mature.

couple of years Goku-Kan karate.. if I hadn't been failin in high school back then, I'd have been a 1st dan black belt within 2-3 years... , dad told me no u can't go nomore.. i still remember some stuff lol.. besides my sensei was wise enough to teach us some street karate too..
