February 2016 I-130 filers

It happens occasionally, but not all that often that is. California usually handles K1/DCF filings. Can't say it won't happen though.

0725 - It would be awesome. Sometimes cases are transferred between service centers. I wouldn't mind if this happened if it was going to Cali either! lol

UPS tracking shows that our I-130 is on the truck for delivery today!!!!

Hoping to get the NOA1 email Wednesday or Thursday.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

All the best February 2016 Filers, I'm a February 2015 Filer, best advise is to be patient, make sure you send off all the documents to avoid RFE's, and during the NVC stage, they can send you a checklist of a document you sent through to them.

If you ever need to find out about anything, I'm here, I pretty much know about 99% of how this whole process goes...my interview is this Thursday.

USPS shows our I130 will be delivered today!!! I hope I sent everything that they asked for.

Am I the only February I130 filing from abroad?

2/11/2016- NOA1 Potomac

5/13/2016- I130 approved

5/18/2016- Sent to NVC

5/20/2016- NVC received

6/9/2016- Case # received (Welcome letter)

7/1/2016- Sent our IV and AOS packets to NVC

7/8/2016- Scan date

8/9/2016- Case Complete

9/20/2016- Medical exam

10/3/2016- Interview

Mbalih it took 12 months? I heard that when filling abroad it goes faster they grant a expedite.

It would have been quicker if my husband was here with me and a legal resident in SA. That's the only way it would have gone faster.

So that means that our case might go faster like not longer then 9 months would like to move to US by August? I hope!

Are you doing Direct Consular Filing (DCF), if so, then yes, it's normally about 4-6 months average.
