No email here either. If they sent a letter regular mail it will take forever to get to Bosnia.......I am also being impatient.

I've found more posts from people saying they didn't get the email than from those that said they did.

I was careful to type that form and typed out email address in block capitals. It's also our initials and our last name so they should not have any problems deciphering it.

I'm doing all the paperwork as my husband is dyslexic and does not feel confident with the forms. He started to do them but made so many mistakes I took over. I used a computer so that they are nice and clear.

Congratulations!! I sent my in on Wednesday, still no email, text, or mail :/ I'm so nervous and anxious. Idk why it's taking them so long? I've called them and they said to wait "30" days which is ridiculous. Hopefully I get the NOA1 tomorrow before the weekend starts.

Wishing you all well!

Ah. Shouldn't be too much longer. I think, based off the stats on VJ, that Chicago takes longer than the Phoenix location.

I hope so! I'm so sick of waiting. I'm hoping that the NOA1 taking look means it's being routed to California..lol.

E & E - Here is a thread about Potomac. They were sent some back logged cases from other centers and just recently started getting their own assigned. You will need to follow the thread to find out which is getting approved, it does seem to be all over the place. It's at least a 5-6 month wait like most centers though I would imagine.

At least you finally know where it is. It's a step forward.

Dal&Rose Thank you so much for the link. 5-6 months is not bad that could work for us and then I believe that the waiting time for the interview is one month (that is if we did not forget anything). But if it get takes longer then that oh well will have to be patient.

Remember there are roughly three stages to the visa process.

USCIS - 5-6 months

NVC - 2-4 months

Medical/Embassy - 1-2 months

This all varies of course. But you can't forget the NVC stage. That is about beneficiary and if sponsor can support said beneficiary.

I'm hoping Dal will be here around mid-October. Though we are discussing if it doesn't happen. My current lease is up then so going to either buy a place or move to new place. (I have a roommate currently.)

Either way, we will have Xmas and New Year's together, by visiting or whatever. That is something we want to keep.
