hello everyone

I am waiting for a case number from NVC. Meanwhile I would like to ask if affidavit of support is enough or we need to present a bank statement as well.

The affidavit isn't proof. Income Tax Returns are proof. Bank statements are good supporting evidence. But anyone can write anything in an affidavit, so it isn't actual proof of anything.

K-1 Application sent 2-16-16

Received at Dallas lockbox 2-18-16

NOA1, sent to California 2-23-16

NOA2 4-21-16

NVC shipped to Manila 5-12-16

Consulate received 5-16-16

US Embassy Interview -- APPROVED!!! 8-24-16 :dancing: :joy: :dancing:

Congratulations to everyone who recently got their NOA2s. My timeline says I'm now in that window. I hope it happens within the window. Of course my patience wore out as soon as I put the envelope in the FedEx box. :D

Approved...in a hurry because at work. Woohoo!

Congrats! Do you know why your petition took a couple of weeks longer than some of the others receiving NOA2's now? We're about a week away from the VJ estimate (which we know not to take too literally or seriously) but are noticing some other Japan filers who filed weeks before us and are still waiting for any sort of response. Curious if there was something unique to your case or not. We're trying to be patient but we seem to be in good company with so many others anxious to hear something!

Good afternoon all, our filing was Feb 12, NOA1. I called today as a lot of folk around that date are receiving their NOA2's, I was told I'm well within the 5 month range and I've only waited just over 2 months. Interesting.

Best of luck to all

I wanted to call too but I know they won't do anything or give any info...this waiting is agonizing.

I think we are probably average as far as age difference, etc. Neither of us have ever been married or have children. I have never been arrested or convicted of anything and neither has she.

In most ways we are what I would like to think is pretty typical for a K1 petition NOA2, and we were close to the average time between NOA1 and NOA2.

Keep in mind that the average time (as reported here) between NOA1 and NOA2 is an estimate with downwards statistical bias.

AAAAAHHHHH FINALLY GOT APPROVED, TOO!!! THANK GOD!

I have to admit I was getting a bit worried as I've been seeing a lot of people with NOA1 later than mine getting approved already. Was scared of the thought of having to wait 5 months to get approved.

But finally, FINALLY got the NOA2 ?? Thank you, everyone! And of course, I'm still praying for those who are still waiting. Goodluck!!!
