I got my EAD/AP but yet to hear about my GC

I have been ready for interview since April 4th and 2 months later still no news, when I called USCIS they said it could take up to 6-12 months which j hope it's sooner since I don't wanna pay for another medical when the meantime I am still looking for work and still need to get the things for my new place with my husband so if I can avoid the medical expense I will take it as it cost waaaaaay to much

Hi guys,

Finally, I got my EAD card! After being approved on April 27^th, when there was a problem with a system, I havent received any information from USCIS. I decided to do an InfoPass appt., hoping someone would help me. When I got there, officer confirmed again that there was an issue with the system and he requested my case to production. During my appointment, he already received confirmation for a request. Once again, I got approved and they sent me approval notice. It took a week from my InfoPass appt. to get my card in hands.

For those who are waiting, this is helpful option and I highly recommend an InfoPass.

I was finally able to schedule an info pass apt today. It's a month away!

Still no EAD/AP card for me. I've spoken to them probably 20 times - I was in the group of cards that were produced at the end of April that they had issues with. Why those didn't go back to the top of the pile is unbelievable.

I attended an infopass at the beginning of May and it did nothing for me. They gave me a note saying my card was approved and the physical card was pending, but the job I was offered won't accept that as a proof of work.

I now have a senator involved in helping with my case. It's beyond a joke now - more than 6 weeks after approval and no document.

Still waiting too. USCIS had the nerve to call me and ask me to take a customer service survey after making me wait 95 plus days for EAD and still response to my case inquiry. Of course, I declined. I have nothing to say about their customer service.

Good thing they didn't call me lmao, it is so stupid they'd ask you to take a survey. Even more so when all you get is stupid answers or any kind of excuses.

Just found this:

If USCIS does not make a decision on your I-765 within 90 days, (30 days for Asylum applicants), you may request an Interim EAD. The interim EAD can be granted for a period up to 240 days.

They called me today as well. And when I told them it was not a good experience and I was unhappy someone else called back to ask me to explain the situation...maybe they will do something? God knows nobody else is.

I might be wrong... but i tought the medical is supposed to be within a year at the time of applying... so technically u should be fine unless you didnt send it or they lose it... thats what i think... goodluck with the jobsearch tho

It has to be less than one years old at the time the I-485 is adjudicated. If it's expired by the time you go to your interview, they will most likely ask you to re-do the medical.

Just got back from our interview!

We interviewed in Seattle. The whole thing took about half an hour. The man interviewing us was friendly and very thorough. He asked for our passports and another form of photo ID, then went through every single piece of paper in our packet. As he checked our paperwork, he asked for our full names, dates of birth, place of birth, parents' names, and how we met. He also had us describe all of our visits and how our wedding day went. After that, he collected wedding photos, a wedding invitation, the lease on our place, proof of renters insurance, and our joint bank account statement. At the end, he said "well, you guys look like you have a great relationship. A bonafide marriage. I'm happy to say that you'll be approved for a conditional green card! You can expect to receive it within 30 days."

So overall, it was a very thorough interview, but we came prepared and all is well. Good luck to everyone else still waiting, hang in there!
