the interview was very easy and quick. it was just 5 minutes.

they just ask my name, birthday, parents first name. my maiden name? if i ever been arrested. ? and my husbands job?

she also ask my vaccination but glad i did get my medical from civil surgeon a day before my interview so there would be no more delays. so thats it! i was approved on the spot. they didnt ask for any documents at all.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm on the skyla now, which is the baby sister of the mirena. I looked up complications with mirena, and you definitely have the right to sue the company. I'm not sure if it's worth all the effort, but this has really had a negative impact on your life, and you deserve any and all financial compensation for the damages (even though that obviously cannot make up for what it has done). Again, I'm so sorry. I'm kind of freaking out now about the skyla...I wish doctors informed people more about these extreme risks.

Congrats!!!

Did you actually get an i693 vaccination supplement done from a doc in the US or did you just send the DS3025? I'm kind of confused because you don't get the i693 done in your home country, you get it done here. If you did it here, the doc should have given you a copy, and if not, you can request that.

-------------

Also, @SEG123--we did not receive the card today. :( Did you get your card via FedEx? That's kind of strange, because I'd expect USCIS to send everything via USPS like they usually do...I really hope no one in my apartment complex got our mail and just threw it out. Has anyone else who got the approval on the 26th received their EAD/AP?

I'm sorry to hear that you still haven't gotten your card :| well i got the card via USPS priority mail and few hours later i got the notification for the online update. Hope you get yours soon!

Has anyone experienced having the Homeland Security verify your documents first before getting the SSN?

It's really annoying how this government works. Irony is, whenever you feel like every thing seems to be urgent, then i feel like people in the government just takes their precious time. Ugh

I need to get my ssn soon to get my drivers license and start working. My husband just lost his job and i'm really worrying about our finances if neither of us starts working soon.

Anyway, The lady from SSA told me that they need to verify my docs with DHS first and it'll take 4 weeks to hear from them and another 2-4 weeks for the issuance of card. This is really frustrating. Ive read in some threads that usually people wait for ten days after they get their EAD so our data will already be in SAVE Database. Some people goes to SSA right after they get their EAD and have a smooth process.

Should I go back tomorrow to check with the personell in the office if my info's in the system now? Or should I wait for the DHS verification?

Yep, we have! I wouldn't expect to hear back in 4 weeks. It took us 6.5 weeks after a nudge from our congressman. You cannot do anything, so there's no point in going back to the office. Social security will have no knowledge about how fast DHS is processing, and there is no public line for us to call DHS and check on the status (trust me, I've called USCIS and spoken to a supervisor about this).

I'm sorry, but you just have to wait it out. Our manual verification was because my husband's name was too long and it was cut off on the I-94. Almost two months of waiting for a SSN because of a long name seems ridiculous, but that's unfortunately the state of our government offices now.

USCIS is so inconsistent with information tracking. I called them this morning and asked about whether my case was pending at NBC or was transferred to my local office already. The first time I called them the customer representative told me that my filed was already at my local office. Then I read some threads online saying it's better to confirm with a tier 2 officer, so I called them again and asked for transferring to a USCIS officer. After 30 minutes waiting, the officer called me and told me my case was not transferred yet. But he also said I will definitely get a letter from USCIS when my case is transferred to my local office, which I don't think it's true as I did't see anyone here gotten the transfer notice. Not sure what the real information is at this point.

Does anyone have insight regarding the Irving TX address? Or this "Please comply" list they sent... It doesn't look like an RFE (at least the other one I received )

Did you actually get an i693 vaccination supplement done from a doc in the US or did you just send the DS3025? I'm kind of confused because you don't get the i693 done in your home country, you get it done here. If you did it here, the doc should have given you a copy, and if not, you can request that.

Honestly, the form is really, really weird and making me nervous. It doesn't look like the RFE I got and it asks for info to be sent to Irving, TX instead of Lee's Summit... I just sent the DS3025. I had my medical done in my home country and when I filed my AOS I just included my DS3025. The man on the phone yesterday made it sound like this was an oversight but it seems totally bizarre... The letter was blue, see attached.

Also, it does not show up in my case status so I will have no way of knowing if they officially received it...

Yes... I'm extremely nervous about my case as well. I'm a New Jersey filer but they accidentally sent me a letter from Irving TX saying my medical form i-693 is expired when it is not and as francais_usa points out, the form from your home country is different anyway. I will feel extremely stressed if I think about it too much.

I wish USCIS was more organized and get there act together better but also realize this is people's lives they are effecting

And what I am hearing is that they are making the prices higher for AOS etc close to the end of the year which I think is BS when they barely do there job at the money they are getting now and just imagine know your paying more for the same type of service

I just called USCIS to enquire about my I-485 and they told me my office in Manchester is currently processing cases in 9 months. I don't know how that can be true when cases on VJ from Manchester are being approved in way less most without interviews.

I'm so glad I have my combo card maybe I'm being greedy I just don't want to have to worry about anything for a little. I'm so worried when I leave for Canada in June they will call me back for an interview lol. I'm planning on going away for three weeks so crossing my fingers everything is okay!!

Congrats to those getting their paperwork and cards and good luck to those still waiting.

Tis A Long Journey.

Hold onto your hat its going to be a bumpy ride!!

but don't worry you'll get through it :luv:

I hope it isn't too. For me though, they specifically said it was expired, not that it was missing. I called and asked what to do and did exactly what they told me. I saw this thread and it made me very scared of a potential denial. The officer also filed a service request for me which I referenced in my letter and I wrote down his name. If they want me to do a new medical because they don't have it, that is fine, but if get denied because they said it was expired... I will be very upset. It seems to be a mistake on their part. Maybe they don't have my medical, but I would think they would use different wording in the letter.

I'm wondering has anyone's USCIS APP updated info?

I got my approval letters but nothing updated on the APP cause normally the tracking# would be on there

Don't get too excited or stress over no update yet...it could still be a while. We got our approval for ap and ead letters in the mail on 4/28. Still no card and just today I got texts that my cases were updated on USCIS case status. I got so excited thinking it would be a shipping notice only to find out what I found out two weeks ago. That they were approved. Still no I. Production or shipped notices. But at least something happened right?

Don't get too excited or stress over no update yet...it could still be a while. We got our approval for ap and ead letters in the mail on 4/28. Still no card and just today I got texts that my cases were updated on USCIS case status. I got so excited thinking it would be a shipping notice only to find out what I found out two weeks ago. That they were approved. Still no I. Production or shipped notices. But at least something happened right?

I aint stressin I am just a very impatient person lol

so much in life is happenin that I wanna start working asap :)

I checked the mail today and still nothing but like you said it might still take time, just wish the USPS APP would update though even if it just says approved that way it would just be updated is all :)

We are exactly the opposite.

We got the approval letter and combo card (EAD/AP) in the mail together, we also got an email saying it was delivered via registered priority mail, but no text or any communication prior to this.

We are still waiting for notification for interview or waiver... Hopefully it won't be an interview whilst my husband is away for work training.

My USCIS case status just got updated, but I never got the email. I just randomly checked and saw that they had updated it today.

I got the approval letter last week, but still no AP letter.
