Ok I have mixed feelings now, I explain my situation to security so they let me go in to the front desk, The two officers there were so nice and sympathetic, one pf the officer even ask for my phone number so when I get a date he will call me to pick the letter up from the office instead of waiting for mail... On the other hand they told me to give the letter to them in order to do the job, They were even talking to each other in low voice like "we screwed up", "there is no way he was going to make it" " the letter is dated 28 and the oath the 30 oh my good". I made a copy this morning to keep it just in case

I think you'll be in the next ceremony at USCIS. I think they are every 2 weeks. And, it's good that they took the letter because it means that there will be no time lost in mailing it and they can schedule you as soon as possible. It's also good that they will call you to come pick it up this time so you'll know immediately when your oath is.

Hopefully it will next week. Monday is a holiday but you may get a call on Tuesday.

This is perfectly normal. They need the letter to reschedule your ceremony; it's just the way the process works, just as if you were rescheduling it yourself. In all likelihood, they were just having a conversation to determine that they should take an extra step of contacting you in person by phone to make up for the mistake.

Great job on being proactive; I'm glad you don't live hours away from the office. It's good that you made a copy; that could be your ticket into the office again if you need to pay them another visit. Hopefully houll get your new date soon!
