Fee to Apply is 340. What about the biographical page I think that's what it's called. Is that another fee?

Sent petition in Apr 2014, interview in Dec 11, 2014, entered to US Dec 17, 2014.

8 months, started the process in Texas service center and transfered to California Service center.

The US citizen pays $340, that's the fee for the entire application. No other fees included for that step. There's lots of paperwork to put into the application, but only one fee. Once approved, the foreign fiancé will have to pay different fees for the medical and visa itself.

Once in the USA and married there is the adjustment of status application fee. Fees for travel and work authorization are waived if these additional applications are filed together with the adjustment of status. The total price for this is $1070.

Our journey from mailing to moving was about 6 months.

We're sending in my AOS tomorrow along with the $1070 fee, and we reckon at this point we're in for a good $3500 with all the fees, medical, travel, etc. No regrets of course.

You file your application at the Texas Lockbox. From there the application is routed to a service center. Texas Service Center is not the same as the Texas Lockbox Different address.

Typically if using USPS tracked mail you're going to send the packet to the first address above. The documents the foreign fiancé sends that need to go in the packet such as their G325A and the intent to marry letter should be the original wet signature on them. No photocopies. Some have had success with a photocopy, but I think most just sent the original to the petitioner via mail. Remember this application is going to the USCIS first, if it is approved they will forward the application eventually to the location of the embassy where the fiancé has their interview.

We were very fortunate in the process, in that our case was sent to the California Service Center, and everything else happened very quickly along the way. We were 82 days from NOA1 to the interview, and 88 days total to being in the U.S. I spent countless hours reading on here and asking questions, which absolutely helped us along the way. The people around here are great.

thank you for your reply The documents that needed to be signed by the foreign fiance did you have them faxed to you or sent via email? Seems like a lot of time and money to do that just to get sent back to the place where the interview will be.

Ours was CSC and from the date we sent ours off to our K-1 visa being approved was exactly 7 months (6 months and 28 days if we count from the NOA1 date). Our journey included Kabul embassy which took 6 weeks to schedule an interview, 59 days of AP and 40 days of "Ready" in NIV (non-immigrant) status. You can click the spoiler below to see our dates. In the month we filed, some people were fortunate and were forwarded to CSC and many others got trapped in TSC. I think there are a few petitions waiting!!!! I hope not, but I haven't heard anything from that forum in a while.

We used fedex for the documents, it was recommended to have real signatures on everything so followed that for the G325 and letter of intent.
