No, they are not expected to attend- in fact, as the others said, they are not allowed in with you even if they do come.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

This is for naturalisation, so no embassies involved.

You interview solo.

No, they are not expected to attend- in fact, as the others said, they are not allowed in with you even if they do come.

OK good! It will be a huge PITA for both of us to go. I just couldn't remember if we were expected to both be there to prove bonafide.

Correct. I experienced this last Thursday. I was slightly disappointed when the interviewer told me to remain in the waiting area. But it was OK, because I wanted to be there as a show of support. We had a same day Oath Ceremony, so I was really happy to be there and wittness that.
