REMOVAL OOF CONDITION FEES?

Greetings!

I know that the instructions clearly stated that the fee is $275 for the I-751 form + 70 for biometrics. but ,why are some couples who applied and the application are given back to them and explainig that they only need to send $205?

I just need to know incase i missed something regarding this matter.

I guess it is hard enough to wait for NOAa once application is sent but, then more harder when it is sent back to us just becasue we over pay it by adding 70$ for biometrics as per instruction.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Griffin

For some reason some USCIS officers expect the $70 (Biometrics) fee paid at the local office when you go there to get the biometrics done. Best practice is to send 2 checks $205, and $70 and let them handle the fee anyway they want.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hi,

Actually the instructions say it's 205 for the application and 70 for the biometrics. It says you may send one check for 275 for both if you choose.

Did you get your application returned to you?

Greetings!

I apologize for the mistake, i meant 205$+$70 but still there are couples whose applications were sent back to them because of this matter.

And i agree with YuanDan.

p.s. sorry for the typos!

Thanks,

griffin

I don't think anybody has had their package sent back recently because of this...

a few months ago it was happening because they were right in the middle of phasing out the $205 fee and changing it to the $275 fee....

but i would just send out two checks .. one for $205 and one for $70, if you are worried about it...

I sent two checks....with a note on each one. They cashed the 205.00 check yesterday...not sure about the other one yet. I called USCIS before I sent it (oh lordy) and got two different answers...so I opted for the two checks. Good luck.

Ah, I see.

We sent two checks because I read an account on here about someone getting their 275 check back.
