Hey guys!

I am finishing my AOS and just realized we do not have the transcript of income tax return just the W2.

Do we need to get the transcript or W2 is enough?

( I am not very familiar with the term transcript so I can not really tell what is what)

Thank you so much!!!!

It's a confirmation from the IRS that your taxes were indeed filed and verifies all the information on ur tax return. It only takes about one week to receive them by mail once requested by phone.

I'm not sure as I have not filed AOS yet but I would err on the side of caution and order the transcripts and wait yo send in AOS with them included.

If you get official transcripts from the IRS, then you do not need to provide the W2(s). Your other option (the one we used) is to provide copies (Turbo tax printouts) along with the W2(s). You only need to include your latest tax filing year in the application, but it is a good idea to have the past three years as part of your records in case you have an interview and they ask to see more information.

You can check out the following link to request IRS transcripts.

You need either the entire tax return including all schedules and w-2's OR the transcript. Transcripts involve a lot less paper!
