Hello All,

Got the update this morning that EAD Card was mailed on 2/12 (approved 2/9). Still waiting on i485. My NOA date is 11/23, anyone have an idea approximately what dates are being handled currently by USCIS for i485?

I've been wondering about the I-485 progress, too... Looks like the Seattle office is currently at only April 2015 applications. Ours was submitted early Nov; so not expecting any news/updates for another 6-7 months. GL with your case; and hope we all have a smooth ride on the AOS journey.

Hey! Congrats!! May I ask how you filed both service request? It seems like you waited 10 days before sending the second one?

Our NOA is November 25 and i called and submitted a service request last monday (Day 76) and I got an email the next day saying they're reviewing it and they will notify shortly...We still haven't got anything and the online case status tracker still shows "ON November 25, they received our application for I-765...)

The processing time on the vj says they're up to November 28 and it feels like it's taking forever to be able to work!!!

Hi there! Well it seems it is unnecessary to answer to yr questions, because your card is being produced, CONGRATS!:) Basically the same happened to me, sent the another service request (75 day from NOA1, not the filling date), maybe that made the difference... Next day, last Friday, I have got a notice that my card is being produced, and oh, today another update that my case is approved. I said to myself REALLY?:)) USCIS is still a mess, but who cares when you got to know that your EAD is approved, right?:) Good luck for the upcoming interview you may have and wish you find a dream job!

Hi All -

Congrats to everyone who has received the EAD/AP and even GC. That is great. We aren't in any rush for the EAD at this point as David is currently taking college classes, but I figured we reached the 75 days over the weekend, so I would submit the status request online. I submitted this morning and just looked online to see if anything happened and there were 3 case history updates (which I will describe in short - I'm sure many of you know them by heart!):

1. Inquiry assigned to officer;

2. Response Sent;

3. Inquiry completed.

What does that mean? Nothing changed as far as the actual status, still just states the Application was received 11/27/15 etc. Does that mean they may have mailed something basically saying, just wait longer? I didn't receive an email or anything like that.

Will just remain patient I suppose. Looks like Albany NY office is taking 6 months to process green cards, so we are looking at May sometime. We have definitely learned patience is needed in these immigration journeys.

Hope everything is going well for all of you.

JB

Your service request was completed, so if they approved your EAD, it may take a few days for the status to update. Maybe wait three days and your case status may change. If it wasn't approved yet, you will probably get a letter saying that you are within processing times.

You have a high chance of getting approved at the NBC; your case doesn't necessarily need to get transferred to your local office for approval. It can get approved or transferred, but no way for you to know if they will or not. But having a time frame of May in your mind will help you stay patient!

I'd love for approval to happen at NBC if that is quicker. I see some people have already been issued GC, but I have read also some receive a "waiver of interview" letter, that then says it will take up to 6 months to receive the GC. That seems strange. But then again, a lot of this seems strange.

I think that the USCIS has moved away from NPIW's during the earlier part of 2015. I'm not sure, but I was dreading when I was seeing some people wait for the GC for a whole year more after their NPIW! I am hoping that USCIS wised up and rather than send a letter that the interview might be waived, to just issue the conditional GC and be done with it! Only time will tell if that will be the same for end of 2015 filers!

My local office is also Albany NY. So I got NOA on 12/2, and biometrics done on 12/28. I didn't submit I-864 along with my application so I was waiting for an RFE to submit along with this year's tax return. I just got my RFE on 2/4, and a letter from USCIS that my case is still in normal processing time on 2/16 because I submitted a case inquiry earlier on. So I guess if your case is still in normal processing time, they are going to send you a letter. Or if they approve you, they will notify you soon too.

Has anyone had their EAD/AP approved, but waited more than the average 10 days for the card to receive? My husbands EAD/AP was approved Jan 25th, and here we are over 3 weeks later and still no update to card being produced/mailed.

Just trying to see if anyone else has encountered this, and venting a little bit, lol :)
