Hi Everyone!

This is my first post in this thread. I've been following it, to see how everyone else's cases are progressing.

I've been noticing that some of you are getting updates to your case. We submitted our AOS/EAD packet on November 20. NOA1 November 24. Biometrics December 21. But NOTHING has changed on our case tracker on USCIS.gov it still just says "case received" for both AOS and EAD.

Ours never changed to fingerprint fee or anything. Is this normal? Day 75 will be on February 6 for us.

Thanks,

Cody

Hey Cody, it's a bit strange that it wouldn't show the header about the fingerprint fee. Did you check if both of your checks were cashed?

Other than that, this is the only difference with my case: nothing changed at all until I called them on day 75. So hang in there, hopefully you'll hear before Feb 6 but otherwise it seems like for most of people (unfortunately not everyone), that call is the key to unlock the rest of the process.

So just got this email for EAD but still no update on the AP still showing rcvd.

Hey guys,

So I put a service request for the EAD on tuesday and yesterday it said it was completed. However, there we no changes to my Receipt #. I am glad that many of you are getting approved. USCIS received my case on the 12th of November, so I am wondering if people that have that day as the date when USCIS received the application are already getting their EAD's. I have the initial appointment on the 23 of Feb, and cant wait to start working.

My Story and Timeline

Nov 9/15- AOS 485, EAD 765, I-130 Filed and Mailed
Nov 12/15- Case received and Receipts sent
Nov 18/15- Receipts received in Mail with #
Nov 20/15- Biometrics Letter with Appointment for Dec 8
Nov 30/15- Did early Walk-in because of Trip Biometrics Taken
Jan 20/16- Received update online USCIS that interview is scheduled for 02/23/16

Jan 27/16- Received Text Message with EAD approval and card production

Feb 3/16- Received my EAD card
Feb 23/16- Went for interview, no decision on the spot
March 22/16- Received text message with approval and card production
March 26/16 Received 10 year green card

I only sent one check. With both fee's included. I saw the total was $1070 so I made one check for that. And it was cashed. We even had our biometrics done on December 21.

For our AOS and our EAD it still just says "case received".

Now I am freaking out because we didn't send 2 checks. We only sent 1. I included the fingerprint fee with the AOS fee because that's how I thought it was done.

Did I make a mistake?

I'm not sure how your initial package looked like, but if you did the standard AOS package with I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131, then you are supposed to send 2 checks: the one you mentioned for $1070, that has both the I-485 fee and the biometrics fee, but also a check for $420 for the I-130 form, if you had to fill one.

We didn't do the I-130 (AP). Just AOS and EAD.

So all we needed was one check. So that "fingerprint fee received" must be for the AP.

I did send 2 checks if i remember correctly. Don't freak out yet! Just call USCIS call centre and ask about it so you are certain.. This is a screenshot of what i have on my case history below

If you didn't do the I-130, then your check is correct. Don't freak out, the notification system of USCIS is really wonky as it's been proven in a lot of messages lately. Just wait for day 75, call them and ask about it while you're on the phone. But if they cashed the checks, it's probably ok.
