Since nobody answered my question, I'll ask again....

For my wife's interview, can we bring a copy of the affidavit of support OR does she need to fill a new one out? Because it says on the website it just needs an original signature...

Better to be safe than sorry. Print it out, sign it and send it to the beneficiary if youre not gonna be at interview.

I agree with this. This is what I did.

Completely fill it out with ink? Or just the signature has to be new?

Hmmm, do you think this means all our files are at MTL already?

So it says at NVC, then TRANSIT then READY . So what happens after ?

I don't remember seeing mine in TRANSIT.

I printed the one I sent to NVC. I had typed it in the PDF and had saved a copy on my computer. I signed that one.

Just the signature has to be new.

I don't remember seeing mine in TRANSIT.

Mine said At NVC for a couple days, until it said In Transit only for a little over a day, now it says READY in Montreal.

I didnt notice IN TRANSIT either. oncefuturealien, your status only says READY, correct? and not "READY in Montreal".

i wonder if we are all seeing same thing.

mine shows: READY, case number followed by 01 MTL, case creation date, status updated date: nov 17

Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal. If you have already scheduled an interview appointment, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the Consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

I didn't take screenshots, but I looked at least once a day at the site, and I updated my timeline when things happened.

I have the same 01 MTL at the end of mine, and my last update is Nov 17 as well.

THANK YOU! I finally ate, though the first thing I went for was a Twix bar, before I ate the healthy stuff :-P

I'm going to make sure my family does NOT learn of this amazing news until my husband is safe and sound right here with me. Soon he'll be here and together we can give my youngest daughter the help she needs. She was injured in a fall, had to be taken out of school, and has withdrawn inside herself. I've only heard her talk on two different occasions in a few months. TODAY is her 15th birthday. This is a wonderful gift!

Unfortunately for me, my husband was fussing at me because I told him that I told his brother and sister.

They contacted me first. LOL. All I did was tell him exactly what he told me...about getting approved and picking up visa on Tuesday. Not all the details.

But me personally, I am only telling my family who will be nearby the place that he will be flying into, as he has not met my family. If they are willing to come together to meet him, if not, great, more time with my husband!

Hey guys! My interview is on 14th Dec and my case status still says "At NVC"!

Is this something I should be worried about? Since some others who's interviews are on 14th are saying their case status shows ready or in transit. Just making sure that this is fine.

You have an excellent attitude about it, Your marriage isn't about them, so whether they want to get together and meet him doesn't effect you. When I was younger I was all about what my family thought about the things I did. With time I developed the dame healthy opinion you expressed. :-)

You will.

I have personally always been a family girl. Despite having older siblings, I technically grew up an only child. I adopted friends as brothers/sisters/cousins. But it was a real aha moment as soon as I married someone overseas, yet alone West Africa, whom they do not know. More often than expected,I heard more "be careful" "make sure he doesn't scam you" than "I'm so happy you are happily in love." The older I got the more I realize that...sure my family wants to meet him, but only to quiz him and drill his brain, not actually get to know him. Sorry this post is a little long. I was chiming in from your other post about your younger brother. I will feel the same way as soon as I publicly post the first new picture of us together after the airport greet on my Facebook page.

No worries. They usually send it 2 weeks befor interview date. Sometimes they wait for other packages needing to go to the same place at the same time.

Oh thank you so much ZaakirahDemba! I knew I should not be worried but at this point I have just gotten a bit paranoid. Lol.

And congratulations on your approval! I'm so happy for everyone getting reunited with their loved ones!! Gosh I hope to God we get the same outcome at our interview too! Please pray for us!
