Hi, I have something to ask. My fiancé and I is now processing the papers for k1 visa and now I'm getting worried because of our age gap and we only met in person once anyways our age gap is 36 years.Do you think I will be denied because of our ages and he only visited me once? Anyhow we always talk on Skype everyday. I hope you can help me about this matter. God bless!

Who is older? The male or the female?

In PI culture it seems to be normal that the male is substantially older

good luck

Not sure how everything works in the Philippines, but my husband and I have a 22 year age gap. There were no issues with our K-1 at the Algerian embassy. So good luck and maybe all will be grand. The tv show 90 Day Fiancé has a couple on there this season with a 39 year age gap, so maybe it does not matter. I think the young woman is from the Philippines.

The age gap is not that big of an issue. As long as you can prove to the CO you have a genuine relationship, everything should be fine.

Yep she is Filipina. She is 19 and he is 58.

Focus on your relationship than the age. This is where I don't understand the constant worry about age gap when everyone says age is just a number. I never once thought/asked about if my interracial marriage to my wife will be a concern for immigration purpose, especially when it's uncommon in my wife's country. I just focused on documenting that we are a real couple.

Think of it this way, if you are worried about age then you will give the CO the same vibe at the interview and you don't want that. Work on showing them that you are in a real relationship, and keep it at that.

Do you think the Consul won't deny me if he will attend during my interview? Thanks everyone for dropping your thoughts.

Do you think that it would give the consular officer a good impression in regards to a bona fide relationship if your fiancé attended your interview?
