CFO Questions / Philippines

Hello VJ people,

I hope you can help me with two questions. My fiancé has her CFO seminar on the same day as her flight. Will she get her CFO sticker that day at the end of the seminar?

And second, we made appointment, but want to verify it. Is there a website or number she can call to make sure she is scheduled for that day? She is from the Philippines.

Thanks

NJ

Do you mean the same day of the flight to the USA or just back to her province? If it is the same day as the flight to the USA then that is a VERY UNWISE thing to do. The CFO seminars routinely ask for more information than what they say they need in the "requirements" so she might have to come back to fulfill those requirements before they will issue her a sticker.

Thanks for the quick reply cyberfx1024. Yeah, I booked the flight to the USA. I already screwed. We made a mistake on the original CFO application, and it was rejected. I lost my airfare? And had to rebook a new flight getting a small discount so I made it. For the same day. This time though the CFO agent filled out the application for her. I hope I can get it the same day

Her appointment is 2 to 5pm and her flight is at 11:55pm. She has about 4 hours before she needs to be at the airport. That leaves two hours for immigration, the flight two hours later.

We originally did the appointment online and printed it, but picked a k2 visa, it was rejected. Because it was the incorrect visa, not a K1. The agent there didn't care we had a flight that day, he made us rebook, but made a new appointment sports her. (I think he should have squeezed us in a new appointment) I had to reschedule the flight that day so I wouldn't have to pay full price again. I was under pressure I was freaking out and I made the flight the same day as the seminar.i just hope we get the sticker at the end of the seminar. Thanks jedetot

If you have an appointment then you have a chair to sit at. Most applicants do not have a problem with CFO as long as they have all the documents, that they know their fiancée very well, and most importantly are confident about your relationship. See my website for more details on preparation for the CFO interview. There are some important things to note. She can do this but everything has to fall into place.

Thanks Greenbaum! I feel better hearing that, I'm still stressed, but better. This whole process has been emotionally and financially exhausting, but she's worth it. Enjoy the weekend.

They usually give the stickers after each session. Its good that she was booked on PM session because its much shorter compared to the morning one. When I had my seminar we started around 1 pm and finish about 3:30 pm goodluck ???

As long as she has everything that is required by CFO then no issues getting the CFO sticker in her passport the same day.

I would not worry about verifying your appointment if you completed the online scheduling... never heard of anyone having issues.

CFO INFO: There have been changes regarding CFO so for sure read through their website.
Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: originals & copies of; CENOMAR (CEMAR and marriage certificate if married), certified birth certificate. Passport and copies of bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together. From USC (copies of) - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common requests. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.
When you get to the 3rd floor, You'd be asked to fill up an Information Sheet. (Yes, you have to fill it up there, It's not the downloadable one on the CFO website.) Make sure you answer ALL questions/fields. Rendering this incomplete will be one of their criterias for you to be "HELD/ON HOLD" for one on one counseling.
Information Needed on the Form:
- Basic Information about you, the fiance(e)/spouse (Name, Address, Birthday, etc.; Your Birthplace is important too, specify which city/town/area/province)
- Basic Information about your petitioner (Sometimes you are going to be asked for the Birth Certificate copy)
- FULL MAIDEN NAME of fiance(e)/spouse's MOTHER
- Contact person in the Philippines, specifically immediate family as in Father, Mother, Siblings.
- Landline Number of Petitioner. (I know, I know, most of you guys don't use landlines now. That's what was running through my mind too.) If no landline is available, Landline of Petitioner's Nearest Relative or Petitioner's Neighbor.
- Petitioner's Educational Attainment, Degree/Course, Occupation
- Information on Petitioner's Divorce/Annulment/Death of previous wife or husband. You must have a copy of the Divorce Decree/Death Certificate.
- ZIPCODES. Both the petitioner and the beneficiary. Never forget to write those down.
** From the Family Code of the Philippines: it's 21-25 years old for advice and 18-21 years old for consent. (Some are posted on VJ that they were not asked for this, yet others have been asked, so be prepared) Bring the ID of the parents, plus copies, postal ID should be adequate.
Examples (from Quezon City):
_ _ Additional CFO info:
Step 1 and 2 everyone there that day did. Step 3-7 is my wife's own individual experience that day after step 1 and 2.
1. Outside the CFO building everyone present that day was told to sign their online printed Registration form and paste one 2x2 photo onto it. (those that did not have the printed online registration form had to fill out and sign one there and paste one 2x2 photo onto it,)
2. Go to Information Area where a guard asked them to leave 1 secondary Photo ID, then they were given a number, and instructed where to line up, and other instructions etc.
3. Inside CFO hand in all photocopy of passport bio page, photocopy of visa, photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary, photocopy of CFO certificate. Same time hand in Registration Form, passport with visa inside, original CFO Certificate.
5. Asked to give the second 2x2 photo which the CFO worker stapled to the stack of photocopies handed in in step 3.
6. Got CFO Sticker put inside passport and had original CFO Certificate stapled inside passport.
7. Secondary ID returned to owner when the individual returned the number to the guard at the information area in step 2.

they usually ask your mothers name, mothers maiden name. divorce how many times, divorce reasons. and nationality of the ex wife/wives.

if divorce more than once she should be able to give all the reasons. and some strict trainor ask for divorce copy.

oh also informed her your educational attainment. coz some doesnt know. and your college course too.

If they ask for a land line phone number, simply give them your mobile number. They won't call.

She should take with her to the CFO seminar every scrap of paper related to your petition/visa process just in case they ask for something that's not on their list of "requirements."

Good luck with that tight schedule.

Like Tahoma said, bring everything with you. My wife did this and many times she was asked for something that was not "normal" and she had it in her files that were with her. Never had a problem with that system. To this day, it's kept in the nightstand next to the bed. She said she never knows when she will immigrate to heaven and she may need a document for entrance.
