Oh my gosh, I was just thinking of our leader last night. How where you doing.

This is such great news.

Please share the interview experience, with the questions. What they ask you?

Visa is paid, and interview date/time is set..... Flight reservation is being made (for me).

Cousin had to take several buses all night (600 km) to get to the bank to pay, but he did it. My hero.

Phase 3 is now in play. Game on.... :goofy:

I was a nervous wreck but I pulled through.

Let's see

Who filed for you?

Tell me what you like about you fiance?

What is his occupation?

If my fiance had any children.

How did he propose?

What is the least thing you like about him?

Was he ever married?

When was his divorce?

What do your family members think about him?

Has he met any of your family members?

What I think about the age difference?

If I ever traveled outside my country?

How long did I stay?

He made jokes about our age difference..

And that was about it!

Smooth and easy

I can only imagine how my fiance will feel on Tuesday at her interview, she is already freaking out now. Why would they ask, "What is the least thing you like about him?" That seems crazy. The other questions I can understand.

I know right. Nosey Rosie is what I think.

But 'opinion' questions have no right or wrong answer. They have no 'data' to determine anything from that, unless they are amateur physiologist. So no need to worry about it. Can even say "I love everything about him, ask me again in 25 years". :luv:

Yes, that is Aisha trying on her wedding dress. Originally she had said she didn't want a formal wedding, just go to the court would be okay. She got excited with the dress.

I think she should really like the location I've picked out. "Marriage Island" on the San Antonio River Walk; in April should be very nice. http://www.marriageisland.com/. Keeping it small (less than 20 people).

And I'm arranging for the wedding to be live video streamed so her family/friends can watch (and participate) back in Ethiopia.

I've been there! Such a beautiful place, and April is the perfect time for it. Not too hot, not too humid yet. Very lovely :)

So this is the right affidavit of support form?

Yes that is the form I-864 for a co-sponsor. If you are submitting for yourself only the you use the I-134. Always check with your Embassy Website for all required documents. Don't do, do, if do will do.

I- 864 Forms

http://www.uscis.gov/i-864

Instructions

http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

Line # 22 is GROSS income to be used when filling out the I-864.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014) Page 3 of 9 with original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

Very cool. I have been there as well, good spot for a wedding. My wedding will be small too, because she will not have any family or friends here. I am also getting married in April. The hard part for me is finding a place to get married, there are many choices around here. I need to start contacting people for prices.

My apology for this question. This is in regards to the support document for the K-1.

What my checklist list is as follows:

DS-160 Form is available online at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/.

  • Valid passport
  • Birth certificate
  • Divorce or death certificate of any previous spouse(s)
  • Police certificate from all places you have lived since age 16.
  • One Photo. 5cm x 5cm (2" x 2") passport-type photographs on a white background of each applicant, taken within the past six months.
  • Evidence of support. Form I-134 and attachments.
  • Evidence of relationship with the petitioner.
  • Medical examination with a panel physician. The immigrant visa unit will provide you exact information.
  • Visa payment

The financial (Evidence of Support) is I-134. Would that not be the correct one? Or are we talking about another process?

Please correct me...

They are trained to try and unearth anything that will take them down another road, then the approval road. They are good. I sat waiting for my wife during her interview and I listened to a CO ask a few questions of someone at a different window and sure enough up popped something that caught the CO and I listened as she uncovered enough information to band this person for 10 years from ever applying again. She and her sister (sister is in the states) were trying to get the US sister's kid to immigrate to the USA as if the child was the sister's child (which it wasn't) who was at the interview. She got caught. Folks, it doesn't pay to lie or cheat. That CO was GOOD and SHARP.
