I have been married 3 times before, my financee (if all this goes thru) will be my 4th marriage. He is 22 years Younger than Me !!!! But I truly love him soooooooo much !!!!'

Does any one see why this would be a barrier to us getting married ?

Thanks for all you do here !!

Neither of those things can prevent you from getting the visa but your fiance might be grilled more at his visa interview because of the age difference. The only way it could prevent you from getting the visa would be if some of your previous marriages were to other foreigners.

I have also been married 3 other times. One Divorce and lost 2 wives to Cancer! I don't see you having any problems as long as you have Original Divorce Decrees or Death Certificates.. Good Luck to you!

They are not allowed to deny anyone over age differnce. They do try a little harder to make sure the relationship is real so expect a tougher interview and make sure all your i's are dotted and your t's crossed as far as knowing about each other.

By the way, our age difference is well beyond yours.

 Agreed with the others. Age difference is NOT a barrier to marriage. All should go well and before the interview make sure you do a lot of practise questions with him, so he is confident about how to answer sensitive questions. My fiance is 16 years older than me and we're hoping for the best too!

you both will be grilled pretty good. the USC <can get inverviewed by USICS> and the immigrant could face < 2 > intense interviews. plus you have the age factor going on. anything over 20 years < generation > is looked at deeper. better provide alot of proofs of a valid relationship.

I dont mean to be rude, but what does "grilled pretty good" consist of

Steve and I (Patricia) have lived together for the 3 months that he was living here with me, He signed the lease to the apartment, (That I still live in) We talk every single day on the phone, and send e-mails.....

I mean what kind of questions are we talking about,,,, Like how old were you when you got your first tooth ???

hahaha

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks

Im thinking it depends on where the interview is, there are quite a few similar review questions listed on here people have compiled, maybe someone from your area will come on to tell you exactly how its handled.

Hi, my fiance is from the UK too. Over on the UK board people have posted some reviews etc. Try searching for London embassy etc. Due to the age difference, I dont know if they will ask you a lot more questions than others. However, it seems like London is not too crazy with the interview questions, mainly where you met, how you met etc. Basic things. We havent been through that yet :( but those are examples of what I have read from other posters. Good luck!

I have been married once and divrced as well after 32 years. I am also 17 years older than my finace. Age doesn't matter to us but it seems to matter at the interview. We are now i administrative processing with a 221g. Hope your is faster. We have known each other for almost 2 years now and been going through all this stuff now for months. Good luck to you.

What is meant by grilled is they will ask questions to determine if a true love relationship exists. Also, they will look for any signs that someone is only using the other for entry into America. This is usually more common with a very young woman and an older man, but it can go both ways.

So, they might ask more detailed questions to see if he really knows that much about you.

Try to go over all the lists of questions you can find. Make sure you know everything. Sometimes there can be very basic questions you never think to learn. Miss a couple of questions and you will end up with a 221-G.

Kathy, your timeline says your file has been sent back to NVC. That is a bummer. Were you able to anwer all the questions or what happened with yours?

My fiancee's 62, I'm 28... he got married thrice so that would make me his 4th wife... Our case got approved at USCIS and I'm very positive that we won't have any problem on my interview as long as we can prove that what we have is genuine and we love each other more than anyone can imagine... Your heart will speak for you! As long as you're both free and legal to marry, no barrier can ever stop you from getting married...

Unfortunately there is a difference, the older here is the man. This is what i see sometimes as being the problem, society sometimes isnt ready for the woman to be the older. nothing can stop a marriage but getting the visa thru-- who knows.

There is a 34 year age difference between me and my fiance. I am 64 and she is 31. She had her interview at the Manila embassy on Feb. 13th and the age difference was never an issue. I also have gone through 2 divorces and there was no problem with that either. As long as you know each other really well and can answer all of the questions that may be asked of you, you will have no problem. On the other hand though, I lived with her in the Philippines for 3 months last year (2006), and will have lived with her for 6 months this year before we come to the US. I didn't go with her to the interview and the interviewer wanted to know why. She told him I was at the hotel checking out and he said "okay". She received her visa 1 week later.

I also think that by our living together for that long, has and will make it easier for her to adjust to the changes she will have to make when she gets to the US.
