notice in email about my i130. not sure what it means. please help

Notice Explaining USCIS' Actions Was Mailed

On October 6, 2015, we began reviewing your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxx. We mailed you a notice informing you of the action we intend to take on your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice and submit any requested materials. If you do not receive your notice by October 20, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Has anyone received a notice like that before? Could this be an RFE?

This is an email notifying you that an rfe is coming to the petitioner via postal mail.

Thanks for the reply. I have to say this is disappointing. For them to take five months to send an rfe. I hope it's nothing big. I am currently36 weeks pregnant and could give any day now. I have already resigned myself that my husband would not be here for the birth but an approval would have been great right now.

While an RFE is bad news. you could look at this way at least they are looking at your case and depending on the RFE it might not take that much longer for the case to be complete. I got one for my wife case and after I sent in what they needed. it was not that much longer my case was complete

I hope your is something simple too and you get approve

I am just annoyed that it.took.them so long to send an rfe if in.fact it is an rfe. I guess i will not know until i receive the letter in the mail. Thanks fir the encouragement

Well don't be annoyed since they just got to your case. They aren't looking at it for 5 months. Your week of petitions was ready to e adjudicated and if not for the RFE it would have been an approval.

Many think there case is looked at when received at USCIS. Nope its put in a box out on a shelf until its your week. Sorry.

And congratulations on the upcoming baby. That's awesome.
