How do they choose which cases get approved without interviews and which ones don't?

I haven't read any post where someone has 'cracked the code'. The approval of the GC has a vast variety of experiences. I think the cases stay at MSC until it's transferred to a local office for interview. Some wait for 6 months or more before they get a NPIW and they still often wait six months from that letter before they get the GC. Some people get the GC before they even get EAD/AP.

From what I can tell, most K-1 AOS'ers get interview waivers because they already underwent an interview at the USEM. But that's not guaranteed, of course. I think I have been noticing USCIS becoming more efficient and process GC applications sooner than applicants in 2014-2015. I don't know though.

Ead and ap were approved last week and the card came in the mail Saturday. 87 days. Now off to try to get my husband a drivers license on Friday. First time driver from a country that drives on the other side of the road.... beware Houston drivers lol (But really he's doing a fantastic job driving!!!...not that he's been driving because he doesn't have a license oops)

Hi!

I have been waiting since 12/02/15 for my interview.... sometimes you have to wait for months... If you have a K visa you will probably won't have an interview. Just wait. Be patient. If you have your EAD card you can work now!

I've got the text and email notifications turned on, but I still find myself checking the USCIS website about 20 times a day, if not more, waiting for the card mailed notification.....COME ON GC!!!!!! I know I have it coming at some point, but I just want to hold it ;) think I'm a little over the top!

As always, good luck to those of you still waiting, praying for a quick, speedy, EASY processing for you

I've asked the same before but no one answered. . What I've read online is it can take 4 months to get an interview. . What I would like to know is how long do we need to wait to call uscis and make a service request. My file date is 10/06 and on 11/02 my 485 case changed to case ready to be scheduled for an interview and nothing new from then .. you should call uscis and tell them about the validation date in you ead card because it is obviously a mistake they did.

yeah i would call USCIS immediately for them to reissue you a new card. It's very obvious it's a mistake on there end. It should be valid this year like everyone else. The interview scheduling depends how busy your local office is. Like mentioned above it could take anywhere from 1 week to a couple months to get the interview date.

2/26/15 - packet 3 mailed via POS Express / 3/10/15 - packet 4 received / 3/23/15 - Medical Exam

4/7/15 - Interview Date - APPROVED! :joy:/ 4/30/15 - POE @ LAX / 5/5/15 - Applied for SSN card

5/11/15 - Received SSN card / 7/14/15 - Married! / 7/29/15 - Marriage license/Certificate received

Sorry wat i meant is i cant apply for work because the validity is not this year.

This is their mistake, it is obvious. Call them immediately, put a service request in the below link (I think this can be qualified as a typo error):

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError

Whatever it takes them to correct it ASAP. Even I think you can get an infopoint appointment. I am in Atlanta and last time when we called USCIS they said that ATL office is processing LAST JULY AOS files... But it doesn't matter if you have yr EAD, you're able to work.
