Good Luck! Keep us updated!

Questiin to ALL:

My mailing address will change in 10 days should I update it with uscis now or wait till I move?

On USCIS website, it says....

"Most applicants with pending applications or petitions should notify us as soon as possible, no more than 10 days after your move."

And you can do it on USCIS website....all you need is your receipt number, new address and old address.

Good Luck

Had my RFE, apparently they wanted my foreign birth certificate, which I'm 99.9% sure I put in the original packet. Anyone else had this kind of experience?

Well, I've sent that in now (both the long and the short copy you get in the UK), and also done my Biometrics.......

Any idea when I should see that magical 'ready to interview' on the website??

Many thanks!

That's strange.... I sent notarized translated copies of mines - no RFE so far. Notarization is not required though.

Hello fellow October filers! I have a question, I did my biometrics apt last November 12 in Atlanta service center, and just notice that the local USCIS office down there is way closer from us than the one I put in my application which is in Memphis, TN. Now my question is it possible that they will send my application down in Atlanta instead or they will still follow the ones in my application. We are leaving in Chattanooga, TN and Downtown Atlanta is like less than 3hrs away while Memphis is like 7hrs. Stupid question I know... But just wondering ?

Thx for responding Steem. Someone else told me to call and I did. Was told them haven't sent any bio notice and that I should at least wait 30 days.

Our biometrics appt didn't come with our initial NOA's. The good thing is as soon as we got it, we went down and did a walk in appointment. My recommendation is still call once a week. LOL. I know they said 30 days, but if you're willing, what hard can it cause.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Our lovely journey!!

10/08/2015: AOS packet sent to USCIS (Chicago lockbox) via USPS Priority mail (They received it 10/10/15).

10/16/2015: Text/eEmails received from USCIS with receipt number. We received 3.

10/22/2015: Received hard copies of NOA's for I-131, I-765, & I-485.

11/01/2015: Got NOA for biometrics appt (for 11/12/15).

11/03/2015: Did WALK IN biometrics appt - took 15 mins. Person taking said work permit should be in mail in less than 4 wks.

12/09/2015: Got email/text notification for INTERVIEW date.

12/28/2015: Got email/text notification EAD card has been mailed.

12/31/2015: Received EAD/AP card.

01/11/2016: INTERVIEW (in Los Angeles office).

01/11/2016: Case in in "CONTINUANCE". Awaiting approval. (Feels like AP).

06/27/2016: I-485 APPROVED - (FINALLY!!!) / 264 DAYS (8 MONTHS 20 DAYS)

07/01/2016: GREEN CARD RECEIVED

Hey everyone,

First time posting. I've not heard anything since my biometrics on 10-20-2015 either. I did have an RFE for my birth certificate though. Getting a little nervous waiting for my EAD so I can start a new job in January. I just hit 60 days since my delivery date so hopefully something soon.

12/06/2017 - Applied for Removal of Conditions I-751

12/11/2017 - NOA date

12/24/2017 - NOA received

01/08/2018 - Sent I-865 late, oops

01/13/2018 - Received Biometrics appointment

01/23/2018 - Biometrics appointment in Pittsburgh PA

02/28/2019 - Approval letter received

Hi 'casprushly' - did you send in a birth certificate to start off with? I did (99.99% sure) but they still asked for one in an RFE!! Have they received your RFE yet and continued processing? I like you am ready to start working, and actually eager, but am unlikely to hear anything until Christmas time, but with delays for holidays.....I doubt I'll be until the new year! :(

Hey a.t.j24, I don't believe I did send it originally since my lawyer didn't ask for it. Also took a week to get it sent from the UK by my dad. I am able to work right now since I am transferring from a J-1 not a K-1, I've already been here for about 4 years. My new job cannot support a J-1 though so I need the EAD.

I got the RFE on 10/16, sent the reply once I got the birth certificates on 10/27 and they updated my case to say it was received 11/04 if that helps.

Any October filers have any updates re EAD/AP? My status has been 'ready to be scheduled for interview' since November 4, 2015. We just reached out to our congressman too to see if that might help speed anything up. we're supposed to be flying to Ireland on December 23, so desperately hoping AP comes before then!!

I haven't heard anything either since November 2nd update "interview ready to be scheduled "... I think we'll hear something at the beginning of December hopefully . I've been checking September filers forum and they're still receiving EAD and AP approvals. . Hopefully we'll hear something new soon
