I'm so confused at how this can happen?

I filed for removal of conditions, I submitted an RFE for removal of conditions and was approved! However, I just opened my mail this evening and my new GC is for 2 years! AND, it still shows the Category as CF1. I'm so frustrated. As if this process wasn't difficult enough.

Has this happened to anyone else? How difficult is it to resolve?

Thank you Pitaya. They told me to make an infopass appointment, but if I have to only send an 1-90, then I'm not sure I see the point? I'm anxious about sending the card away. My other card with NOA won't expire until April, but I still feel weird sending the only proof of being permitted to remain in the country beyond that point away.

Sorry, this link should function better: http://www.uscis.gov/i-90 Interesting that they want you to make an InfoPass appointment. Let us know how it plays out.

All they will do at an Infopass is tell you to file an I-90.

I got mine sent with somebody else's picture. I filed I -90 , it's been 3 months and they told me it takes 6-9 months to get the new one sent.

I had to go get an I 551 stamp in my passport so I can continue working ( the wrong greencard needs to be sent back)

Ours had the wrong date. After going the 9+ month I90 route and two 551 stamps for two year GC with a wrong date also I didn't want to go that route again so here's what we did: sent an e-request. I got an acknowledgement of receipt and then an e-mail from an actual person in Laguna Niguel that basically said sorry for the mistake, send me the card and I'll get it fixed and send you a new one. Got the corrected card in about 4 weeks. Was pleasantly surprised by the personal service.

I went the e-request route, considering there was no general inquiry option for "you messed up my greencard" in the infopass appointment system.

I received a reply from USCIS yesterday with the same instructions as khwaidee1 had received (and shared in another thread). Note: this notification was received 7 days prior to the anticipated date of response provided by USCIS in the automated e-request system (that is still 15 calendar days from when the e-request was made). The instructions say to anticipate a 10 day service turn around upon receipt of the Green Card with error (lets hope that holds true).

I'll be getting the paperwork together to return to USCIS, with plans to have this in the mail before the end of the day today, anticipating their receipt on Friday or Monday.

Khwaidee1, I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they were providing me with an actual individual to respond back to. It does make you feel more like a human being in the process.

Thanks for all your help.

I thought I would give you all an update to give an idea of the time for the others.

Due to life, logistics, family visiting & general lack of time, I put off responding to the email I received until last Monday (Nov. 2nd).

I sent my packet which included additional documentation of process including receipt & approval of my case, the letter I received from my local USCIS office and copies of both my green cards. I also including a cover letter thanking them for their time and assistance. The packet was sent priority mail with signature request (this is certified mail I guess?).

On Wednesday (Nov. 4th) I received a auto-generated notice that my new card was in production. Today (Mon, Nov 9th) I received notice that it had been shipped and to expect it at my home address before the 9th of December.

Sending in the E-Request is definitely the better option rather than submitting a I-90.

Best of luck everyone!
