Thanks!!!

I found that the code for the Consulate in Mexico is CDJ

Good deal! That what you want to ask for is the case number and it should start with CDJXXXXXX. With that number you can get many things done while waiting for your file to be sent. Good Luck

Ours is also valid until March 2016 (Our NOA2 notice date is November 5).

According to VJ statistics, we might get our interview in the consulate by the end of January. I'm planning to move as soon as I get the Visa, so no issues with the expiration date of the NOA2.

I have read that you can get an extension, but not really sure how that works.

Extensions are 4 months at a time and are given automatically. If you fail to process during that year then you case be closed. If you want to file again you may but you will have to concern yourself with withdrawing your closed case personally before starting a new one.

All vaccinations are including in the SLEC fee. No need to see a private Doctor as all are given at the time of the medical exam at SLEC.

Copy that! Thank you!

I don't expect that date to be a problem either, I just wanted to know what the significance is of that date.

Have you tried calling the NVC as well?

It could just be that they have not entered the case into the system yet and have no information to give you. As mentioned a few times in the thread, it can take up to 20 days (or more) from your NOA-2 date for them to enter everything and get your case number. Since your NOA-2 was only 13 days ago, it could still be in transit or still not entered.

Most people have recommended you wait at least 2 weeks (14 days) to start contacting the NVC.

You can call NVC here (603) 334-0700. You can even call from Skype like I did. You need to have your receipt #, your DOB and your fiance's DOB ready when you call. Just say you are calling for your ccase number
