Fiancee will have no original copies for his interview, problem?

Hopefully this is my last panicked question I have to post to VisaJourney for a while! My fiancee has his interview a week from today. (Yay!) But I have a cosponsor and their HR department took FOREVER to get the letter together so I kept waiting to send him his copy of everything (i-129 copy, new letters of intent, photographs, plane receipts etc.) because its all in one folder so I was just waiting for the affidavit information to send everything away... Now we are a week away from the interview and it won't be ready until Tuesday. (4 business days from the day he flies to Sydney for his interview). Obviously, I am going to send the documents the most expensive, quickest possible way... but it could still arrive too late. In the mean time, I am going to fax him all the documents so he will at least have copies to bring to his interview if the originals have not yet arrived. His police prints may not be ready yet either. They gave us the interview date literally 2 weeks after he submitted his D-160 and we were just not expecting it to be so quick. We asked to reschedule for a later date and they said no. We just weren't prepared for our interview to come up so quickly. Do you think this will be a problem that he will have no original documents? Thanks in advance!

It's fine to attend the interview without the original documents; but best to take the copies of what you have just so you can show you are organised and prepared. You will receive a 221(g) form which will say what documents still need to be submitted- eg original police certificate etc. Good Luck!!

I'm struggling to understand how the embassy allocates interview times...i've noticed people who at the beginning of August were allocated the next available slots, which at that time were the end of September...but you got yours much earlier, and on top of that were told you couldn't reschedule to a later date??!

The mind boggles lol.

OP- Much like you, we only had two weeks from our Packet 4 to the interview. My fiance's medical isn't even scheduled until 4 days after the interview and his police records have not come back yet. He has his interview in about 10 hours and I'm of course super worried about being stuck in AP for the missing medical and police records. I told him to make sure if they ask about why they are not done, it's because they chose to schedule us two weeks out from packet 4. None of the physicians wanted to schedule him for an appointment until he knew the interview date and then told him they didn't have an opening until after. Crossing my fingers that all goes well!

As for how quickly they scheduled, I am unsure how this happened. All of the interviews recently I saw scheduled for the end of October and then we get one the second week of September. We were not at all expecting to have one scheduled so soon (Otherwise I would have not taken my recent trip there!) Oh well, everything seems to have been fast tracked for us! Less than 100 days from sending in 129f to interview and we didn't hit a single bump all this time. Go figure it would be in the end that we are freaking out trying to get everything done.
