Hello Hector am I come from Dominican Republic. My wife was born in the Dominican Republic but is a US citizen through naturalization of his father. I am permanent US resident because she made a request I-130 for me. Today I am living in the US for 5 months.

Now she made another request I-130 for each of our 3 children under 6 years. She has an interview at the embassy in Santo Domingo, DR. But we could not get a Affidavit of Support for children.

Currently I have a month working for a company. with a projected one-year salary of of 25,000 dollars and I have another part-time Job with a projected one-year salary of 15,000 dollars. I have two letters from my employers.

the questions are

1 - Can I be a Joint - sponsor of my children?

2 - If for this coming Monday (09/16/15), I do the documentation I can send the scanned via email package?

I dont if you can undestand my problem.

1- yes, you and your wife can combine incomes. or sponsor on yours alone if she is currently with them.

2. Scanning the documentation is fine, but the I-864 needs to have an original signature. Be prepared there is a chance the embassy will want to see more than one months paystub, so they may delay approval to see if you keep both the jobs.

WOW !!! Thanks for your Reply.

My Wife's Income is 0 . She is unemployed. I did send money all Week to my family.

My real fear is that they want to delay the approval. Teh current school year began and my children need to come to school here.
Another question you know if I need to do a letter explaining why I have no Income Tax. Although clearly have Tax on 0 because I'm new here.
Thanks for you fastetr and good reply!! again

A short, one paragraph explanation as to why you have no tax returns will help. Your wife, as a US citizen, was supposed to have filed taxes even when abroad, so you will want to send her taxes, or explanation as to why she didn't file (if she never held a job, for example) too.

You can try and avoid the delay by sending as much documentation as possible, especially a letter from both your employers saying your jobs are long term and stable

If she did not work at all, she wil be fine; just write a short, one paragraph explanation stating that she was not required to do so as she had no income of any sort.

They will become US Citizens on entry and not need to meet the financial requirements?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Look for the I864W form it is for cases where on entry the child becomes a USC and doesn't require a real affidavit of support. http://www.uscis.gov/i-864w

But i think this is not my case!!

If you answer this question, I can help you.

Is your USC wife the biological mother of the 3 children?
