Hi,

We just got back from my biometrics appointment and went very well, a lot of people with appointments at 11am (like 25 people) in the USCIS office in Durham NC, we got there at 10.45 and finished at 11:45 am.

I have only my passport as ID with my maiden name and my appointment letter had my married name, so I had showed them our marriage certificate so they can have my process confirmed. After the confirmation my biometrics went faster, only that the lady wrote my maiden name in the letter for make the things "simple" accord their words.

So am done with my biometeics as well. Did a walk in bec i cant do it tom and they let me. We waited about 15 mins outside bec they do it in batches. I just had my passport (with my maiden name) and showed them the marriage certificate. We were done after 15 mins. oh and they dont accept expired ids...

Hi guys I just finish my biometrics here in West Palm Beach, it was at 2:00 pm but reach at 1:40 pm, it was full and they had to get a supervisor to check my documents because the appointment was with my married name and my ID with my maiden name and I had my marriege certificate as proof, so that part was fast but in total y left the building at 2:50 pm. The girl who took my prints was very friendly and also the security guards was also pleasent.

Now the real waiting is going to start!! not really looking forward to a long wait

I think I might have been mistaken. I thought it was the interview. I just looked at the hard copy myself. It's an appointment notice for the I-765 - application for employment authorization.

I didn't even know they did those. So we'll likely need to come back for this and then also another interview?

I thought you only have one more possible appointment after you finished the biometrics. This is the same location where we did the biometrics. Why would we need to return to the same place just for the employment authorization

maybe they need to take the prints again, who knows? or maybe they will give you the employment card? that would be awsome if they give you the EAD in hand! let us know what happen!

Walked in, filled out some paperwork. Got in line. The receptionist then gave me a number, went and sat down 10 mins or so. Number was called, they scanned my fingers, took my picture (ladies make sure your hair is behind your ears) and I was done.

Now what happens???

Saw the fine print. It's for biometrics. My wife just did her biometrics too weeks ago. It seems like they would combine or just use the same ones so you don't need to come in twice.

Ok so no change on the status at all... its ok to wait as were not on a rush... its easier to wait now (compared to waiting for the k1 visa) since am with my husband already....

So I went to the AUGUST FORUM and posted the question whether or not going to your BIOMETRICS appointment earlier than your scheduled appointment. It appears that it makes no difference if you go early or on the day of your appointment. I guess I will post this same question again in the July Forum and see what the consensus are. However, I suspect that there's no real impact to the time line if someone went earlier than the scheduled appointment.

Hi guys biometrics done all the process went smooth but lot of people arrive at 8:30 AM apt was for 9:00 biometrics was taking at 10:00 am. Now let the wait time begin hehe?

So freaken annoyed with my attorney because he forgot to submit my Form I-864 along with my AOS package. I finally got my RFE today and it reads...

"Submit a completed and signed Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for the petitioner/sponsor listed on Form I-130 or Form I-129F..."

So anyway, I had a feeling this was the deal. I pretty much prepared for this and have everything together but I have a question for everyone. I requested 3 years worth of IRS Account Transcript. If I supply them an Account Transcript, do I still need to provide my Tax Return. Or do I submit both my Tax Returns along with my IRS Transcript? Also, would I submit Bank Statements and 401k statements?
