Hello everybody,

I received a NOA for my biometric appointment next Monday and this da is a very busy day. Anybody can tell me for how long does the biometric appointment take ? And what is the dress code for this appointment, casual or classis is most preferred ? And is it all about fingerprints and taking photo or is there anything else ?

Thanks

It took about an hour each of the two times that I have chauffeured my family to the Tukwila DHS office for their biometrics appointments. Their appointments were usually mid-morning to noon, if I remember correctly. YMMV, likely depending on the number of people to be processed, staffing, time of day traffic, etc. Dress appropriate, as that they will be taking a picture of you. Yep, just fingerprints and photo....

Good luck.

You can arrive early but will only let you in about 10 mins before the scheduled time. The process itself takes about 10 minutes or less, the waiting takes the longest, but that depends on the amount of people there already.

Thanks for your replies. I had my appointment today and it took around 1 hour totally. I have one more question, they gave me back the NOA appointment paper stamped. Do I have to do anything with this paper or just to keep it in my records ? Thanks a lot.

What is the next step? To wait until they mail me the Employment Authorization/ Travel Document cards, right ?

Just keep it for your record. Now you wait for either EAD card or rfe/interview letter. Good luck.

When I went I was half an hour early, they let me in no problem and I was in and out in 10 minutes, no wait time or anything - I was the only person in there!!
