AOS for Stepchild of USC already in USA

Hello,

I would like to know if i could apply for AOS since my step-father is a USC and is living here in US. I just came with a B-2 Visa 1 weeks ago and My step father and my biological mother got married when i was 16, now im currently 19 and my mom is in my country wich is Dominican Republic. When i entered one week ago they didnt ask me about my plans here. I really wanna do this since i wanna make it to college as soon as possible since my church can get me a scholarship.

I have the death certificate of my biological father since he passed away when i was 12. Then my mom got marriend when i was 16.

If anyone could help, thank you!!!

You arrive in the US on a tourist visa one week and want to adjust status to a permanent resident the next.

Per Matter of Cavazos, preconceived intent cannot be used to deny an AoS application if it is the sole negative factor, but...

So only your step father lives here. Your mom is back living in the D.R. They can adjust of that? We have crazy immigration rules.

Does it matter that the mother is back in the D.R.?
