Almost done Aaron.. :)

Technically K1 is a non-immigrant Visa only being processed as IV due to the immigrant intent after marriage.

If you followed the 221g instructions you should be fine.

Well she dropped off the NBI at 2GO today and filled out a form but she checked the nonimmigrant visa by accident and put her passport number but it is technically an immigrant visa so I hope this does not affect the delivery of the NBI report, it shouldn't since she is a K1 and they should know that

Could cause it to be sent to the wrong department, a little more delay. Should find its way to the immigrant visa unit eventually.

She followed the 221G instructions for a new AKA NBI but just checked nonimmigrant and put passport number instead of the other option immigrant and case number on the form at 2GO. We shall see this week.

Well, USM have a system to check on mails and match them with the right case considering they are processing hundreds of applications. I am sure your docs will be received accordingly.

A little more patience..

Hello, just so everyone is aware because maybe we misunderstood the Cebu cfo seminar requires the k1 holder to register online and make an appointment like manila cfo does, we were told it was first come first serve at Cebu cfo. We have to schedule an appointment at probably manila now and money has been wasted unfortunately. Just want everyone to know who reads this if you are unsure

Always check the website for additional instructions and or changes as things in the Philippines can be fluid. This holds true for any governmental agency that you are trying to see. On my website for CFO it walks you through the steps for registration and it shows in one of the registration screens which CFO office you want the appointment at.

Hello, we are about to submit the AOS packages and are wondering 1. do most people do the wife's last name change before submitting the AOS package? trying to find out what is the proper and easiest way and 2. do the K2's AOS package need to be the exact same as the K1 package?

Use your wife's married name on all documents.

K2 AOS, children's names don't change ;) Everything should be about the same as on your wife's I-485 & I-864 You are the sponsor. I believe the fees are reduced when filed with a parent.

Ok thank you. Yes I see the fees for the employment and travel forms are waived if submitting with I-485. Also, do they get an A-number when entering the US or only after the temporary green card is that issued?

A # should be noted on their visa. Under your name/info
