It's infuriating not having any updates on my online case since they cashed the cheques. Keeps you in limbo about what would or could not be happening! I'm hoping that my EAD/AP combo card is only around the corner... ?

I agree 100%! I check every day and every day nothing changes. Seems like they would want people to get out there and go to work!

Hi Gang,

I'm part of the September forum. In our forum, we were wondering if you go for your biometrics appointment few days in advance or even a week advance. Does this buy you some time and speeds up your AOS and EAD processing? Is there any benefit of going earlier than your scheduled appointment? Thanks

So far there hasn't been for me. I only went three days early, but my case status has never changed from the initial status saying they received my fees.

I went on the appointed date (two weeks after ASC notice). It didn't seem to make any difference based on the average processing time I have seen in these forums.

08/08/2015- Mailed I-130/I-485/I-765

08/10/2015- FedEx Delivered Chicago (Day 2)

08/10/2015- Priority Date

08/13/2015- NOA for all (Day 5)

08/14/2015- Checks cashed (Day 6)

08/17/2015- ASC Appointment Notice (Day 9)

09/03/2015- Biometrics Processing Done (Day 26)

09/12/2015- Case ready to be scheduled for Interview (Day 35)

10/15/2015- EAD Approval/Production (Day 66)

10/19/2015- EAD mailed

10/22/2015- EAD delivered (Day 73)

10/29/2015- Applied for SSN (Day 80)

11/05/2015- SSN Card in hand (Day 87)

11/23/2015- State ID in hand (Day 105)

Does anyone know if receiving an RFE suspends the EAD processing time? This is so painful, especially when you have a job offer.

My understanding is that it will put EAD processing time on hold until you comply with the RFE and it is received. The faster you respond, the faster they process.

I've heard that the clock resets when you send in your RFE and you have to wait those silly 90 days or whatever the processing time is though I'm not sure. That's just what I've heard other people on here say so I'm not sure how much truth is in it. Someone waited about 60 days after their RFE I believe.

Ok - thanks! Just trying to get a censuses if it makes any impact if you go earlier or not.

That's what I had suspected. But I was curious because at some of these forums, people are trying to go earlier than their appointments.

Maybe if you go long before your appointment it might have an effect. But usually people seem to just go a few days or a week early and I doubt that will have a notable effect.

Congratulations, that was so quick!

As for me, still no updates online/the app. It's annoying that some people have a very organised and trackable case history and then there's other cases that aren't scanned at every avenue leaving you feeling like nothing is happening. Starting to worry that an RFE was sent out but we haven't received the letter, so I'm going to get my husband to call tomorrow to see what's going on and if we can't get an update. Is there a particular number I need to call, a person to speak to, and is there anything I need to have to hand other than the receipt numbers? Was hoping to get through this whole debacle without having to call anyone, but it's looking like that might be out of my hands when nothing has been updated and we're only getting radio silence.
