"Reject" stamped on the back of my check

I sent my application and everything in. I got a RFE because my first check was the incorrect amount. I mailed a check for the correct amount. I got an email and text 2 days later stating "Your case was received. Receipt # WAC#@%^#$". The check just cleared my account last night and this is what it looks like...I'M NERVOUS!

I called USCIS and was told if could just be bank jargron. I hope so

there's other coding in there -

that wording should mean that this check covers the prior rejection so this check, this payment, is good. many of those numbers are internal usage, tying that check to the casefile .

the important part is the stamped paid on the face of the check

and you have a receipt number

immigration makes paying the fees the easy part

the rest gets harder so learn to relax / you are going to need a lot of patience

I just had a question about that step. BTW, It is not stamped paid on the front but I see the funds cleared my account.

If it cleared, i think you're good to go. USCIS usually attempt to process checks as an EFT (electronic funds transfer) first. However, sometimes it doesn't work as an EFT, as some banks use different routing numbers for EFTs, so then USCIS will run it as a check. Maybe this happened to you, maybe thats what the "reject" is referring to?

You know what you are absolutely correct. Last night I saw it pending as an ACH and today it turned into a paper check transaction. Thank you!
