Congratulations to everyone who have their cases completed! Best of luck in getting your visa soon! :goofy:

And for the rest of us who just started, wishing us all a speedy processing! :)

Hi, wadodude, it took 7 days for NVC to receive our case, and 10 days for a case number to be assigned. Give it a week to 2 weeks and you can start calling.

Thank you for your quick response, mi_u_ls!

I can see from your signature that it took 17 days for NVC to get your case since NOA2 date.. that is a bit shocking to me!

Is a MONTH about the average delay for folks waiting to get their case #?

If you guys have any questions specifically for me,

I will be glad to help via private message.

Case was received 7/28 @ nvc. Just wondering when I'll get my case number or what's the next step.

12 days from when your case number was assigned.

Thank you for your quick response, mi_u_ls!

Based on what I understand, it would be close to 12 days.

I don't have a case number yet, I'm asking when will I receive one based on everyone else's experience with nvc

Sorry I wrote the wrong thing. Roughly 12 days or so from when your case was received at the NVC then you will get your case number.

They received my case on July 16 and I recieved my case number on July 30.

I wanna thank saylin for her support to everyone. ....

A case number was assigned on July 23 and I submitted DS261 on July 30 but still I cant sign in to the payment portal to pay AOS fee.....is there anything I should do other than waiting....???

Having the same problem, DS261 was submitted on the 29th of July. I was told I could access the payment portal after two weeks and here someone is saying one week. So, I'll advice we wait patiently hopefully this week.

Good luck.

Ours took almost a month from NOA2 until we got our case number. :(USCIS sent our case to NVC a week after NOA2 that's why it took longer. Keep checking your case status online or your email as they will notify you when they've send your case to the DOS.

I think the average time is 1 week for NVC to receive the case and 2 weeks to assign a case number.

Your I-130 was approved very quickly, were you awarded an expedite request?

The service center sent our case to the NVC much later than expected. I take it they send it would when they feel like and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it right?

Hi, CallMEShams! We didn't request for our case to be expedited. We were one of the lucky ones and got a really fast approval. (L) I do wish it happens for everyone too. It took almost a month for our case number to be assigned. This whole waiting process is not easy but there's nothing we can do now but wait. You'll get your case number soon :) Good luck!

I am very happy for you. I can only imagine how happy you were upon getting your I-130 approved lol.

It looks like we are not too far behind your progress. Hoping for things to continue to go smoothly and move along.

Hello everybody,

Today I received an email that our request for expedite was accepted and they will forward our case to the Dominican Republic immediately.

What can I expect next? They received our AOS and IV packages on July 27th but i still haven't been invoiced the IV fee. Will I have to gather all the documents again or will NVC forward everything to the embassy? When could i expect an interview date?

Thanks
