N400 form and N/A in fields

I am filling out N400 form and it says type N/A if information is not applicable or none.

However I am not able to type N/A in fields. I am living at same address from last 6 years. Do I need to type N/A in all other address fields? Same thing with employer or schools?

Do I leave these fields blank or write N/A with pen once application is printed.

I was planning to leave blank fields that do not let you type "N/A" in, like additional fields for residences, past marriages etc. If you want you can always write "N/A" with black pen in these fields after printing form.

I faced this issue too and was planning to do it the same way as the other post suggested.

I have started filling out the forms recently.

The online form is very restrictive. If it won't let you put N/A in the field, just leave it blank. They are going to go over the entire form at your interview, so any questions that were missed will be covered and can be updated then.

In my wife's case we wrote "NA" in all places where it required "N/A", next month my wifes interview. So, writting NA will be no issue.

One applicant wrote "none" for the middle name and got a biometrics appointment addressed to John None Smith!!!!

Just my 2 cents: the application (very top) says to write N/A for anything that doesn't apply. I would fill out the application on the computer and then write in N/A in all the other fields using a black pen... probably not necessary, but that's what the application asks you to do.

Since the whole thing is scanned using the barcode, I would not type in NA or None because that will be read as the answer.

This is why I had handwritten mine. It kinda felt good handwriting it - it has a personal touch.
