I'm pretty excited I got an email this afternoon that my case qualified to be expedited based on my financial hardship request. For the past 2 weeks I couldn't stop beating myself up over a simple mistake that led to a RFE(wrong check amount)-only a few days delayed but still. What a blessing!!

Congrats.. .. That is awesome! Did you call the help line.?

Hi, thanks :) Hopefully you get NOA2 very soon! There's another thread that talks about the approval rate for I-129Fs is something like 97%... so all you really have to do is cross your I's and dot your T's, and it will be fine! ;)

We sent in a ridiculous amount of evidence of our visits to each other... since we live relatively close, we were able to see each other about 10 times, and we included copies of the boarding passes and passport stamps, plus 2-3 pictures, for each of those.. ended up being about 50 pages worth. I was worried it would slow down our application, but I guess you really can't submit too much evidence! She will bring a copy of all of that plus the "proof of relationship" stuff (skype logs, chat logs, emails) to the interview.

Nooo!don't worry. It could be a 5 months process. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I sent my package the same day as you and don't have my NOA2 yet. Keep calm and enjoy the time with family and friends :)

Thanks for the encouraging words! My worry was totally unfounded--just got NOA2 email! So excited that things are moving along quickly!

Yes I ended up calling the request in. I included it in my package with all evidence but I didnt get a response. I was told by the rep it could only be done over the phone, but I read otherwise online. So I was went ahead and did it by phone. I asked about evidence and was told, "If they need it, they will email and ask for it." 2 days later they did. I faxed a copy of everything I originally mailed in.

Don't stress yet! It appears to be not precisely chronological or country-dependent in terms of who they approve first. You're still well within a normal wait time--if you don't hear by your estimated VJ timeline date you can try calling and inquiring about your application.

I don't think so. Our NOA1 date is July 13th and I haven't received anything yet either.

If you look on the visajourney processing time thing it says they're currently working on July 4th. And I've seen other ones where people were approved a month or so after that date said they should have been processed.

Spoke too soon... I just got emailed and we have a RFE.

I thought I was so careful putting the package together...but obviously I blew it somehow. So now we wait for the mailed copy to see what is wrong.

Getting an RFE isn't the worst thing in the world, at least they are working on your case and as soon as you respond it can be approved. I always try to look for the positive things in every situation. :joy:

I doubt it is anything major to worry about. Looking at the RFE master list a lot of the time the USCIS just want extra clarification on something.

Best of luck to you!
