We will be filling in July to lift the conditions on my wife's green card.

I'm currently putting together the evidence that we have and want to know if is sufficent.

For background, my wife and I were married in Jan. 2013, filed an I-130, and my wife moved to the US in Oct. 2013.

Evidence so far:

- Copy of both our drivers' licenses showing the same address

- Copy of lease in both our names and signed by both of us in Nov. 2013 for a lease that expires in Jan 2016.

- Joint tax transcripts for 2013 and 2014

- Statements from joint checking account with both our names

- Statements from joint credit card with both our names

- Year-end statements for 2013 and 2014 from my Roth IRA account showing my wife as the primary beneficiary

- Copy of health insurance card showing both our names

- Printouts from my company's benefit's website showing my wife as a dependent on my health insurance for 2014 and 2015

- Copies of car insurance documents showing my wife as a driver on my auto policy from October 2013 to present

- Copy of cell phone bills: we both had T-mobile accounts individually but put them on a family plan in my name in Jan 2014. Wife's name is reflected on bills from Feb 2014 to present.

- Copy of flight tickets for vacation together to California in May 2014

- Copy of flight tickets for trip together to Japan in Jan 2015.

- Copy of hotel receipts from both trips

- Various pictures of us together since my wife moved back in Oct. 2013.

Does this look like enough evidence? My only concern is we don't really have any evidence for the period of Jan 2013-Oct 2013 because we apart during the I-130 process. Do you think we'll be OK?

Looks good.

Any utility bills?

A will?

They know based on the visa you filed, you were apart until it was granted. You have a lot of good evidence, from when she entered up until now.

Timeline:

Dec 31st 2011- I-129F sent
August 2nd 2012- INTERVIEW- APPROVED
August 10th 2012- Visas received
August 21st 2012- P.O.E Boston!

September 11th 2012- Applied for SSN.
September 16th 2012- MARRIED!!!
September 17th 2012- Received SSN.
October 26th 2012- Sent off AOS forms.

January 16th 2013- EAD and AP card issued.
January 26th 2013- Card received in mail.

May 29th 2013- Service request, as outside of processing times.

June 25th 2013- Green card/EAD stamp received in passport. Green card production ordered!

July 5th 2013- Green card arrives :)

August 22nd 2014- Daughter Born!

April 17th 2015- I-751 Sent.

April 20th 2015- NOA 1

June 2nd 2015- Biometrics Appt.

February 2nd 2016- I-751 APPROVED! 10 Year Green card issued!

 

February 22nd 2019 Applied for Citizenship! 

March 14th 2019 - Biometrics appt.

April 23rd 2019 - Interview. APPROVED!!!!!  It took 60 days!!!

Evidence that your wife is your beneficiary if you die. ie: Life insurance, pension, will etc.

the more evidence saying you have money tied up in the relationship the better.

I heard from others that Kids and photos with family don't have as much hold has money...Go figure.

Unfortunatley, the utility bills are only in my name and we don't have wills yet.

I'm currently checking with my employeer to see if I can get documentation showing my wife as the primary beneficiary on my 401k. I also have a very small life insurance policy in my name that I have listed her as the primary beneficiary as well. If I can get proof of that I will submit it as well.

Don't put off getting your wills made. They, and such ancillary documents as medical powers of attorney, are excellent evidence for ROC, and even more valuable to have in "life."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

You're absolutely right. I don't think we'll have them made up in time for ROC, but it's something we plan to do regardless. Hopefully we're still OK for ROC without them.

You're absolutely right. I don't think we'll have them made up in time for ROC, but it's something we plan to do regardless. Hopefully we're still OK for ROC without them.

Go to LegalZoom.com, easy, cheap and will e-mail it to you really quick.

So I called my local bank, and since me and my wife have secured credit cards, we can't add each other because they are just that, secured credit cards. They are a way to build credit. So we can't send that specific evidence. So my next thought is to add each other to our checking account. Again, would this seem reactionary to immigration, or just do it anyway? Thanks.

Have you created your wills, medical powers of attorney, etc.? When you can supply these, your worries about smaller stuff will go away.

Looks good. Looks fantastic if you added the wills.

Definitely looking into it. But I'm wondering as well, will it look like a last minute/desparate measure to USCIS creating a will a couple weeks before submiting for ROC?

Ours were signed the day we sent it off. I figured, better than nothing and without ROC, I'm not sure my husband would have done one.
