Local news says he was under 24 hr surveillance, the cops were not going to arrest him and did not expect the reaction they got. He was not shot in the back, video show the officers backing away before he was shot. They are investigating someone in RI too.

Boston shooting: Suspect plotted to behead Pamela Geller, sources say

(CNN)Usaamah Rahim, who was fatally shot after waving a military knife at law enforcement officers in Boston, was originally plotting to behead Pamela Geller, an activist and conservative blogger, law enforcement sources told CNN on Wednesday.

But Rahim, a 26-year-old security guard who officials believe was radicalized by ISIS and other extremists, decided instead to target the "boys in blue," a reference to police, according to court documents.

"I can't wait that long," he said of the original beheading plan, according to an FBI affidavit filed in federal court in Boston.

If you need a reason to concealed carry, you need a better one than fear of terrorism. You're more likely to shoot yourself in the foot than be the victim of a terrorist attack. You can post as many stories as you like, it doesn't alter the fact that your perceptions of the risk of terrorism are distorted by incredible paranoia. That alone tells me that personally you shouldn't have access to any firearms.

It is not paranoia when they are trying to kill you . Perhaps you should look and see what is going on in your home country . You will have to dig a bit because These stories have been buried on page 5 .. After all that story of the most recent sex change operation needs to be on page 1 . Personal attacks are a way to avoid the actual issue

Taking exaggerated personal offence of forum posts are also a way of avoiding the issue.

As I said. Terrorism is not something that should be in the forefront of anyone's mind as they go about day to day life. Whatever your personal fears, you don't live in daily threat of being victimised.

If you feel you need a gun to protect yourself from terrorists, then the terrorists have achieved their goal - spreading fear and paranoia.
