Has anyone had this situation?

I called the NVC on Wednesday and was told that my wife's case is complete (CC) on 25 May, and that the interview had been scheduled for 28 July 2015. We should wait for the official appointment letter by email.

This morning, I received a checklist letter by email, dated 26 May. In it, they ask for two things, both of which I know to be silly and were either sufficiently proved or included in the original AoS & IV packets.

I'm on the phone with the NVC now (waiting) to clear this up, but just wondering if anyone has had this experience before?

Update - called the NVC, the CS guy said (after checking with supervisors, etc...) that this is a false checklist & to ignore it. He also said the official email with interview date (28 July) was sent today. Not yet received, but hopefully tomorrow or Monday.

you should get it before then...when did you call? It will probably be with you early next week. Maybe try calling NVC early on Monday and just double check.

Yes you need the appt letter for Dr Randall.

So getting my transcript has being tedious since I'm out of the country. I'm still trying but I want to have a stand by option--to print out the refund from 'where's my refund' and add my w2 to it. And have my wife explain at the interview why getting the transcript was almost impossible . You think it'd work?

Plz share ur interview experience...?

Hey there. My interview was on 4th June, It went great, I took the dss(shuttle service), reached the embassy at 7:15 am, got in at 7:45am and was assigned a token no., after a wait of 30 minutes I was asked called to give fingerprints and submit my pictures, after that I was asked to remain seated til they call again, then after 30 odd minutes I was called for submission of original documents and also latest tax transcripts of my wife, after that the consular asked me in what language I would prefer the interview, I selected English, then I was told to wait again for my final call for interview, then after 40 minutes I was called at the window, the American guy interviewed me, he asked me following questions;

How did you meet your wife?

Did she visit you after marriage?

Who does she lives with?

Where does she work?

Then he asked me for pictures of me and my wife together, since i was living in England for the past 2 years for my studies, he told me about his graduation from university of Manchester and asked me where I was living, then we had a good laugh and he said your case has been approved you will get your passport in 10 days, I thanked him and wished him a good day and left the embassy.

Next day i checked my status and it said issued. Alhamdulilah very happy.

I wish you all the best. Just be original and confident. You will be approved.
