thanks for all your help guys it happen so fast from your help!!!! thank you

just wanted to know some cute ways to welcome her into the usa

also what are some cute household filipino things i can get in my house

I gonna assume you are going to have to travel to find an Asian Grocery Store, if your from Tool. Dallas only has Asian grocery stores and they will have some of the food she likes to eat. Stock up on food for her. 99 Ranch and Hong Kong Market and H&S in all in Plano but that will be about 1.5 hour drive for you.

Get her an umbrealla and have her trying to adjust to the heat of Texas, Taking walks in the mornings. In a couple more weeks when summers gets going, She gonna think Philippines is cold compared to the heat here.....

I think it depends where she is from in the Philippines, my wife thinks Philippines is hotter than here. And in the winter she freezes and we don't get snow like in Dallas.

It'll take some time to get acclimated, I would just be understanding in the beginning. My wife wouldn't eat anything when she first came here, the only thing she liked in the beginning was Hooters. Now we can pretty much go to any restaurant and she can find something she will eat. Once in awhile she will have balut cravings or something, but in the beginning it's going to be like a vacation/dream of new experiences. Other than the rice cooker, I wouldn't worry about things. I met my wife at LAX with a dozen roses, now I never buy flowers for her because she gets mad at the cost. Good luck and congrats!

First thing, get her a rice cooker :)

haha....yes....the first request from my fiance was a rice cooker, haha

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

If you want to see a big smile...get her a brand new smartphone...

perhaps iPhone 6 plus or SamSung galaxy 6 edge.

just don't be late to meet her. I got my wife roses also. Remember, be attentive and close to her, she is in a new country with no friends. Help her find Filipino friends so she doesn't feel alone. DON'T ask her to speak English only and allow her chat with her family often on Facebook or Skype. Remember Filipino families are closely knitted. Treat her as an equal and listen to her needs too. Good luck.

My fiancé and I started our K1 with NOA1- 5/7. A lot of thinking on this topic as well. That's solid advice, salamat. I see you are from Ohio also. Can you recommend any grocery stores and social means of connecting with other FilAm couples here?

Can never have enough MagicSarap or Whisper pads on hand, :)

Seriously though, a bouquet of flowers at the airport would be nice touch. Doesn't NEED to be roses. After that a single flower from the grocery or gas station on the way home will keep the spark alive without spending $$$$$$ at the florist.

Customs confiscated all our Magic Sarap (something about chicken powder) and threw them all in the trash when we went thru customs entering USA

Shoulda buried it deeper or did a dog alert on it?

Kinda serious question though. Asawa wants to stock up on it when I told her 20 packs cost $8 at the Fil store here. I think she said only P60 in the PI.
