What a headache! Sounds like though you are moving forward with your case, keep being persistent. I might consider contacting your state's US Senator to contact the Embassy on your behalf. Maybe the Senator would get results if they continue to give you the run around for getting your interview date. I hope things move quickly fYes,

Excellent tip - I've written my city councilman as well as both senators. Let's just hope their feet don't drag as slowly!! >_<

I had my POE on Thursday! I had a very good experience with my POE and things went good with my car import and my bird import *breathes happily*. My bird has bonded with Chase SOSO well (it was their first meeting haha).

My wedding is October 24th and I will post a picture then!

So, turns out that the US Embassy in Tunisia is claiming they haven't received the electronic file from NVC (untrue, because I've been calling NVC every week and everything stateside is in order) which is what has been holding our case up.

I called NVC again to tell them the new situation (my state reps have also contacted NVC on my behalf, already!) And the supervisor didn't even need my case number-she knew my case and was irritated herself with the embassy in Tunis. She said she'd be handling it personally. We shall see.

Absolutely!

Not sure if you read through all the posts in this thread, but basically it took the Paris embassy 2 months to give us an interview date because they kept claiming stuff was wrong or missing and there was nothing anyone could do. We called and e-mailed every point of contact they had non-stop, even went in person and bothered the security guards, till we got our date. When we came in for our interview, the staff all recognized us by our names and made us promise to stop calling and e-mailing if they give us the visa. Haha!

Anyway, the point is keep doing what you're doing. No matter how much they try to shoo you away, keep pushing forward till you get what you need. We'll be rooting for you. :)
