Nataly...I aplogize. I think i totally gave the wrong information lol........the DS160 has to be filled out for sure. and do it as soon as you can.

i apologize about the DS260-i "think" that varies by country (not sure...i think though, that it's something to do with paying the visa fee...i thought i saw that listed for brazil requirements, but in fact it does not list the DS-260 for brazil because we will pay the fee right at the interview...but some require applicants to pay it online before the interview-in this case, i think the DS260 would be required) definitely check your country's embassy website requirements...but either way i think you'll get that information in your next packet.

Hi all I have what might be a dumb question, I'm just trying to get a heads up before packet 3 info... Everywhere I check what to do next I get mixed answers on which form im going to have to fill out. Many official websites say different things. Will I be needing to fill out ds-160 or ds-260??

both, i believe. the ds160 us the actual application for the visa. that should get done ASAP! tge ds260 comes a little later i believe. not really sure what that one's for. but the embassy site says both need to be filled out (but i think only part 1 for the ds260). check the embassy website for your county.

Hi all I have what might be a dumb question, I'm just trying to get a heads up before packet 3 info... Everywhere I check what to do next I get mixed answers on which form im going to have to fill out. Many official websites say different things. Will I be needing to fill out ds-160 or ds-260??

I believe ds-160 is for non-immigrant, ds-260 is for immigrant. You may check this

12/10/15 - Package sent via Priority Mail
12/14/15 - Package Receipt as per USPS website

12/29/15 - Received Receipt (NOA1) 6 emails and 6 text messages from USCIS

12/30/15 - Check Cashed Out

1/4/16 - Received hardcopy of NOA1

1/8/16 - Got our Biometric Schedule Letter for Jan. 20

1/14/16 - Biometric Schedule (WALK-IN)

2/4/16 - Received RFE on the mail (Initial Evidence)

3/7/2016 - CASE IS READY TO BE SCHEDULED FOR INTERVIEW

3/15/2016 - Got txt message and email that AP for me and my k2 were approved but not for EAD

3/19/16 - Received Mail---Approval Letter for Combo Card (AP and EAD)

3/21/16 - combo card received

9/15/16 - AOS interview schedule

That is embassy specific. You will receive instructions in packet 3 once your petition has left NVC and reached the embassy.

oooh i'm so glad you said that because i keep forgetting to ask..."when" does packet 3 get sent? haha...so, it gets sent from NVC after they fwd the petition to the embassy? or does it actually get sent from the embassy once they receive the petition from NVC? and that gets sent to both the petitioner and the fiance right? thanks!

That is embassy specific. You will receive instructions in packet 3 once your petition has left NVC and reached the embassy.

Packet 3 is sent from your embassy. In respect of London it was a letter with instructions & link for online forms, a copy of the approved I-129F form & a piece of paper with domestic abuse guidelines.

I did read where we need to use the DS-260 but I can't for the life of me remember where! It's def DS-160 for London K-1, the 260 might have been to adjust status??

great, thanks! i think i read somewhere that packet 3 for brazil is just an email? i'm curious how they will get my fiance's email to send it to him? lol i don't remember filling it out on any of the paperwork so far. hmmmmm

right?! i KNOW i read it somewhere too! and i could have sworn it showed on the brazil embassy page, but now it just has the ds-160 and the ds-230 listed. let me know if you find anything out!
