I tried calling the 800 number yesterday. After finally getting through to a live person, and answering a bunch of questions, she decided to put in a request for a service check, then after another 10 minutes on hold she said she could not complete the request due to technical problems and i should call again tomorrow.

How exactly do we do an infopass? I looked at the website last night...and unless i did something wrong, it looked like it only gave 4 options for scheduling an appointment...if you have been ordered to by an immigration judge, and a few other options that weren't even close. So ...if you have an ongoing case that you need info on, how do we schedule the appointment?

My wife wants to wait a few more days on the bio letter before doing anything...but this stuff stresses me out so much that i just want to push it along as fast as possible.

For those of you (like me) who've yet to receive their Biometrics letter...

.....

Basically, their turnaround time for an appointment is actually 90 days from the date on your NOA1. If you don't receive it after that timeframe, you can schedule an InfoPass appointment and they'll actually investigate. But they won't open a service request for a biometrics appointment before that time.

That's crazy...the lady i talked to yesterday was trying to open a service request for our bio letter (34 days past NOA) and the only reason she didn't was "technical system problems" and she told me to call back today.

What happens if they send out a bio appt letter and it gets lost in the mail and you miss the appt?

Finally got the biometrics done this week - 06/29

After rescheduling three times already, I lost my patience, and it took me three visits to the service centre this week and having to see a manager to allow it me to do it at a time not listed on an appointment letter.

Having seen my heavy travel schedule, she allowed it, so after 2hrs of waiting around, then a mere 5mins to do it, I am done.

Do I have to do this biometrics rubbish all over again when filing for citizenship next year?

CR1 / DCF (London): 2012 / 2013 (4 months from I-130 petition to visa in hand)

I-751 #1- April 2015 [Denied]

 

April 2015 : I-751 Joint filing package sent fedex next day 09:00am from UK ($lots - thanks). 
Jan 2017: Notification that an interview has been scheduled at a local office. Bizarrely still no RFE... 
Jan 2017: 2hr wait, then interview terminated before it began, due to moving my ID to another state 2 wks prior. New interview 'in a few months...maybe.'   Informed them that divorce proceedings are underway, but not finalised at this time. 
March 2017: An Interview was scheduled - marked as no-show as they didn't actually send out a notification of interview. FML 
April  2017: Filed an official complaint with the ombudsman, and have requested Senator & Congressman assistance
August 2017: Interview - switched to a (finalised) divorce waiver. Told that decision will be made that afternoon, but no problems foreseen with my case. 
October 2017: Letter of Denial received - reason given as 'I-751 petition was not properly filed'. Discovered ex-spouse made false allegations to USCIS in 2015. No opportunity given to review & refute allegations  - contrary to USCIS policy.

I-751 #2 - Oct 2017 - Mar 2021[Denied] 

 

October 2017: Within 72hrs of receiving denial notice, a new waiver I-751, divorce decree & $680 cheque, sent to Vermont via FedEx overnight 9am priority.  
Dec 2019: Filed FOIA request for full A# file
Feb 2020: FOIA request completed - entire A# file received as a .PDF; 197 pages fully redacted, and 80 partially redacted. Don't waste your time!
March 2021: I-751 #2 denied for lack of evidence. No RFE, no interview, and evidence in previous I-751 not reviewed - contrary to policy. Huge errors in adjudication.

N-400 - Feb 2018 - Apr 2021 [Denied]

 

February 2018: N-400 filed online.  $725 paid to the USCIS paperwork wastage fund

February  2019: Interview - cancelled after a four hour wait due to 'missing paperwork' on their end. Promised Expedited reschedule.

March 2021: Interview letter received, strangely dated after I-751 denial. No I-751 interview conducted. N-400 interview and test passed, given 'cannot make a decision at this time' paper due to the ongoing I-751 nightmare...

April 2021: N-400 denial received citing recent I-751 denial as basis for ineligibility, even though it should have been a combo interview 🤯

I AM JACK'S COMPLETE LACK OF SURPRISE

Service Motion - March 2021 [Sent via FedEx & COMPLETELY IGNORED by USCIS]

 

March 2021: Service Motion request sent overnight addressed direectly to field office director, requesting urgent review and re-opening, based on errors in adjudication - citing USCIS policy, AFM and memorandums as basis for errors. This was completely ignored by USCIS.

 I-751 #3 - June 2021 - Jan 2024 [Denied]

 

IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY

June 2021: I-751 #3 (30+lbs/5000 pages of paperwork) & another $680 sent to USCIS via FedEx ($300+..thanks) .... 

June 2021: Receipt issued, card charged, biometrics waived, infopass scheduled for I-551 stamp number ten.....

Feb 2022: RFIE (no, not an RFE, a Request For Initial Evidence) received, for copies of the divorce paperwork that they already have 😑

July 2022: Infopass for I-551 stamp number eleven.....

August 2023: Infopass for I-551 stamp number twelve....

January 2024: Denial received, ignoring the overwhelming majority of the filing, abundance of evidence, and refutation of a provably false allegation. The denial also contradicts itself in multiple places, as if it was written by someone with an IQ <50.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

 

2024: FML. Seriously. I'm done.

Biometrics appointment letter finally received! 07/16 - Spokane.

I do have a question. Is it possible to attempt to do an early bio at a different state? I'm in Oregon right now and was wondering if that was possible depending on the field office's availability of appointments. Or would that complicate things too much? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Again I spoke too soon...upon closer inspection I noticed this biometrics appointment is for my I-131 application, not this one...sorry guys...

I should get this soon since it was mailed on Saturday according to the Tier 2 officer I spoke to earlier this week.

I'm still waiting on my biometrics its been almost a month and ahalf......this is very strange

Time for you to make a follow up call to National Service Center. Mine too, I called last Friday telling them that I don't received the Biometric appointment. the IO told me to wait for 30 days upon receiving the NOA. So I will call again on July 8 or 9 if I don't receive the appointment.

Have you called? I had to call as mine has yet to arrive and the lady submitted a request and of course that can take anywhere from 15-30 days to hear back from. LOL.

It is really strange that cases filed in June are already receiving them while there are still many from May who've not. :( I am not patient when it comes to this LOL. Hang in there chica. :)

Our noa receipt was may 26th an i'm still waiting (well it's my wife's form, but i'm the one who stresses out about it). I called last week and spent 30+ minutes on the phone...the lady tried to open a service request but she was having computer/network problems and told me to call back the next day. Since then we just haven't had the time. Keep hoping the bio letter will show up.

Every step of the way i always stress out but everything ends up getting approved with no problems. I'm trying not to worry too much since most of the filers past may 20 are still waiting. But if it doesn't shiw up within the next 2 or 3 days i'm calling again.

Mine is from May 16th and haven't gotten my bio letter. I read someone called and wrote we have to wait 90 days, even if we call they won't open any case for us

Tonight I received an email regarding my call that stated the following:

'The status of this service request is:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice for this process. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice by mail once an appointment date has been established for you.'

We shall see...ugh.
