...waiting for CC (all they need to do is review the DS260!!)

Updated! Grats :dancing:

I failed to mention that I have two separate cases at the NVC. One for my husband and the other for my stepson. Both have the same scan dates (April 14, 2015). Please update at your convenience. Thanks.

Updated

I have two cases too... daughter and I .. please note it on the spreadsheet

Updated

I just Called NVC and the Rep, was in a really really bad mood and he just told me the month of my Appointment!!! Its on JUNE! Yay!!!!!!

Happy for you :dancing:

I read the checklist over again and found out they also want my husband's foreign taxes added to the AOS package. That's interesting! We didn't even have to submit that to the IRS when filing... And we could not have sent them any earlier, because they just arrived last week, so this checklist could not have been avoided just by sending in the 2014 transcripts.

Surprisingly, the checklist doesn't ask for a new AOS from our joint sponsor?! I'm pretty sure there's an error since we don't qualify without her, and her 2014 IRS transcript is missing as well. So we'll play it safe and re-send both packages. :)

(However, due to a sudden change in the plans we may want to delay the process a little bit so actually receiving a checklist was better for us than a CC right now. Sounds crazy to all of you waiting, I know, but our situation is quite different from most of yours since we're together as a family and both employed abroad.)

I hope for the best!

Yup, called NVC and after a few minutes they sent me my checklist email :'( Oh well....

Hurry to send it!!

Hi favriebaby,

Thank you,

If you get an RFE it's because they are missing information or something is incorrect in your paperwork. You have to correct the problem. Once everything is in order and complete you will get a CC meaning your case is ready and complete. So to answer the question. An RFE would come before if there is one.

Hi Guys,

Need your help, Acyually I have got my case completed at NVC dated 04/27, after CC I requested an expedite at NVC. That request was just to expedite my interview date. I have got the follwing email from them

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: XXXXXXX filed by XXXXXXX on behalf of XXXXX

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General.

Please note that the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General may still request additional forms or fees at the time of your interview. Please be prepared to submit any missing forms and pay any required fees at the time of your interview.

And on calling them I came to know that the interview will be scheduled by Embassy now. If that's the case then what was point in expediting my case?

I am super confused, because if I talk to NVC they say they cant do anything now as far as scheduling is concerned and I have not got anything from either embassy or NVC.

Please Help!

first thing you need to do is check on the portal to see if your case is already at the embassy if it is, then call your embassy and tell them you would like to schedule an appointment via phone, and they will do it according to availability, if it says that is in transit then wait until it says ready and if it is still at the nvc, they might schedule the interview for you since your case is completed.
