Be advised that your K1 visa was a one-way, one-time visa that was cancelled as soon as you went through your US POE.

As stated it really depends on the state you reside in. I would search the state's DMV or Secretary of State to see their requirements. As to Michigan, you need your SSC as well as proof of residency (mailings to you residence with your name on it such as utility bills, notices from the U.S. Government, etc.). Not sure about your state. If you still have more than 2 weeks valid on your 90 day I94 you can apply for a SSC, otherwise you will need to wait for your EAD or GC.

SSC is your Social Security Card, it provides you with a unique identifying number that you will need not just for getting license, but also when you apply for jobs, filing taxes.
